Once upon a time we purchased a really nice and expensive duvet cover for our vacation rental condo. Over the years, with renters not caring for things as they should, many things have gone missing. When it came time to replace our duvet cover, I wanted to get something good, but not too expensive. I took a chance on the $39 Amazon duvet cover with pillow shams. When they arrived and I dressed the bed with them, I was amazed and super impressed. They were nice and roomy…so easy to put king pillows into the king shams, and the duvet cover was generous and covered our bed. I don't put a comforter in it because I use the duvet cover as a bedspread. Its a summer rental, so no need for a heavy comforter. I liked it so much I ordered a second one for the OTHer bedroomm where I discovered our expensive duvet cover had also gone missing…Hopefully these won't go missing…but if they do, they're way cheaper to replace! ... show more

I love that this is made from 100% cotton and it was easy to insert my down comforter and it has the ties in the corners to keep it in place. I love the colors and pattern. I look forward to going to bed each night, knowing that I can bundle up. It is not too hot and very breathable.

I didn't really measure and I just took a chance on this because I was lazy. My duvet insert ended up being a little larger than the duvet cover but I was able to fit it in and it's not lumpy at all. I washed the cover, put it inside out, attached my duvet insert to the corners and then pulled in through right side out. It was much easier than ones I've done in the past. I wish the duvet cover were a little wider as it does not cover the depth of the mattress on one side but it's not a big deal to me for the price. (Nobody sees that side of the bed anyway.) I love that it's reversible and when I fold over the top portion it has a nice contrasting stripe pattern.I did not iron it after washing and it has a nice lived-in look but not overly wrinkled. I did iron the pillow shams so the edging was more crisp. The zipper closure works great. This is the first time I have a cover with a zipper and I wasn't sure if I'd like it but it's worked out fine. I would definitely recommend buying this if you like the pattern. *Note: there are birds hidden in the pattern. I did NOT see that before ordering and I'm afraid of birds (my biggest phobia) but I like the look so much I'm keeping it and facing my fears. ;) ... show more
