So...I've gone through tons of these socks to wear with my fins while shooting surf photos all year. The heels last about a month before they develop holes? They are the perfect thickness for the warmer months and just the right height. all the other brands just don't compare in regards to shape and size for use with fins. I'm just amazed at how fast they develop holes in the heels for the price you pay! Trying to resolve this by adding a heel patch at a local shoe repair place using my other wet suit boots as spare parts to do a fix. We'll see how it goes. On another note, I can never find these on the official O'Neil site, only on Amazon.

Very comfortable! almost no difference from wearing regular socks. Good insurance if you swamp your boots in too-deep water. of course they can be used for wet wading as well.

I wore these in 46 degree water while waterskiing. They kept my feet toasty the whole time! When I took them off, the water that came out was as warm as bath water.

They work as advertized. I would go a little thicker in 50 Degree water though if you spend 3-4 hours in it. I use them as a sock under a pair of wetsuit booties in really cold water, and by themselves for shorter dives.

I ordered this item for my wife to try to keep her feet warmer as they tend to lose heat more than the rest of the family. When the item got here, instead of a pair of socks, we were surprised to find we had only received a single sock. When I called to try to get a replacement for the order, or the rest of the order AT LEAST (aka... the OTHER sock), I was told all we could do was get our money back and re-order. We opted to simply get a less expensive room heater to keep at her feet. I would NEVER recommend anyone order from O'Neill.
