The shirt is a medium, and is slim enough so there’s not excess material causing drag, but not tight or restrictive. It takes some careful effort to remove it while wet. My t-shirt size is large, as that affords some extra room. I also have an O’Neill medium long sleeved top with relaxed fit I have used when snorkeling outdoors for sun protection. I got 3 of these on Amazon for $8 each. They are name brand, high quality, dry quickly, and I'm very impressed. I'm 6'2 and 205 pounds with an athletic build and they fit snugly, not skin tight but definitely tighter than a t-shirt.

This shirt is a bit slim so order up if you like more room. I do like that the collar fits properly and isn't stretched out and wide like other shirts. It is a bit more thin than another O'Neill rash guard shirt that I own, but still comfortable and a I feel this one dries quicker. I bought one of these shirts and two other sun shirts also by O’Neill. All the same size. They all say they are the same size on the tags, but are wildly different in actual sizes. One fits right. Another fits right in the body, but the sleeves go well past my elbow, which looks weird. This one is ridiculously small to the point that I thought it must have been a women’s shirt, but the tag says men’s. It doesn’t even go down to my waist. It also has no logo on the back, differing from the picture provided. I think I was probably sent a different product. If not, O’Neill really needs to work on their quality control. ... show more

This shirt fits as expected. Based on other reviews I sized up and it is a good length and fit. If you want it to be really snug stick with your normal size, otherwise sizing up makes for a good semi-fitted look. The material is nice and the quality seems great, having only tried it on.
