When I travel, my lips get so chapped! It's painful. I found this product when I searched for something for extremely chapped lips. I've used other O'Keefe's products so I trusted the brand. I used this as directed in the morning and before bed and my lips healed up faster than ever. Also, on the next trip I went on, I took it with me and used it daily. I've had problems for years with split lips, especially during dry weather conditions. I tried lots of other lip balms or lip moisturizers without any luck. I decided to try O'Keefe's Lip Repair Night Treatment. I put a layer of it on before bedtime every night. I haven't had a split lip for months. One of those random sleeper products you don't expect much from and then it knocks your socks off! Absolutely amazing lip mask and I've tried way too many. Smells/tastes like vanilla play-doh. It’s a little off-putting sometimes. I like to apply generously to my lips especially corners of my mouth where I used to get cracks. I did not experience any irritation, breakouts, or other negative side effects. The jar is cute and small. I like jars these days because I like to scoop up every little ounce left inside. None wasted. The formula is solid wax, similar to lip balms in a twist tube. It is gritty but I don’t mind. It melts on my lips during application. Weirdly I kind of enjoy that texture. As if I’m gently exfoliating. It’s not a matte finish as it claims. How could it be? It is a lip balm. It is dryer compared to other lip balms so I see why they call it "matte". It isn’t high shine like a gloss. It has a sheen. It is lightweight and comfortable on the lips. Not sticky. This could be used daytime. I want something a little bit more moisturizing or thick especially at nighttime (as long as it's not so sticky). I think this lip repair night treatment could be popular among men. They usually don’t like intense moisturizers. My lips are not currently in need of repair so I do not have an opinion when it comes to that. I am using it as a preventative. So far it is effective at that. Overall, it's decent quality but I don't think I'll repurchase this lip repair for these reasons: (1) playdoh smell/taste (2) not moisturizing enough for nighttime. I love O’Keeffe’s other products such as Working Hands and Healthy Feet. I want to try their body lotion next! ... show more
