My pictures are after 10 hours of wear and touching up twice. That said, this lipstick STAYS. I only have to touch up due to eating and talking ALL DAY. I am really impressed with this particular line of lipsticks from NYX. I'm not sure about the review that say it isn't truly black. It looks pretty black to me! But maybe I'm hue-blind? IDK, but I think it's black and I'm very happy with it. I've bought this lipstick multiple times and will continue to buy it because it's awesome. 10/10 would recommend.

This lipstick's formula is amazing,provides a matte finish without drying your lips out,is highly pigmented and it lasts for several hours,even if you drink or eat something. The color is so beautiful, I would described it as a brown with a dusty rose undertone. Great quality for such a good price!

This might be magic?? I try to stay away from matte lipstick because some of it is IMPOSSIBLE to wipe off, and ends up drying out and clumping up. This product somehow managed to make a true black matte lip that doesn't need a virgin sacrifice and 5 lbs of oil to remove. Just a few wipes and its gone, and you're free to reapply and make it fresh. I bought it for a Halloween costume but ended up wearing it a few times casually!

I am trying to be better at reviewing products as I rely on them when shopping. I am Pakistani and I have medium-light skin. The kitten heels was a good color on my skin true to color “bright red”. I have used many high end lipsticks Chanel, Dior, YSL, and some brands from amazon. This is a great alternative if not as good as these brands. I have a hard time with my lips— dry cracked and I hate wearing lipsticks as it clumps. With the exception of Chanel this is one of the few that wasn’t clumpy on my dry lips. So I’m pleased and would recommend this highly. Not affiliated with the brand and bought this when it was on sale for $3.

Really enjoying this!! I especially like that I don't have to worry about it transferring to other things. It stays put...well, I notice a little transfer when I'm drinking/eating something, but it's not bad at all. I purchased multiple colors, the Alien Black, Pink Lust, Respect the Pink, and Kitten Heels. They all look vibrant and nearly perfectly matte. I usually apply and then wait a couple minutes and apply another coat and wow. They're amazing. These last most of the day. I think this is my favorite line from NYX. If I'm planning on wearing this all day, I either use an exfoliator, balm, and/or chapstick underneath so that my lips don't dry out. This is not a moisturizing lipstick. When I don't use something underneath then I notice that it flakes a little nearing the end of the work day. But I have found that using a moisturizing lipstick over it makes it last all day and it doesn't flake. I think that my favorite color of the ones I purchased is Kitten Heels by far...it's a bright red and just pops. The Alien Black isn't 100% black, but it's really close. The Pink Lust is very vibrant. Respect the Pink is perfect and a light yet bright pink. Watch the pricing on this product as you can get colors for way cheaper at different times. I purchased mine at $1.81 and currently it's sitting at $6.97. But on average, I've found these for around $3 and always purchase at about that price point. So be mindful of that and wait for your color(s) to move price. I usually save them in my cart and when the price changes I'm notified and I'll move them to my cart and purchase them. Just a helpful hint. Pros: The colors are vibrant! The black is nearly 100% black! These stay on most of the day. They really are matte. I haven't had any stain my clothes or hands. These colors are opaque. The price point is really great! Cons: Lightly flakes after hours of use. It has stained my teeth and tongue, so I'm just careful and don't have that problem. This stuff is amazing. I put it on my daughter before bother her dance performances and dinner and it last 6 hours before I had to scrub it off. All the moms were saying how awesome this stuff is - and these were the ones that were tying to plug that lipsence stuff. Her lips weren’t dried out when I took it off as well. Well done nyx!!
