Description

Add An Amplifier To Your Stereo System! The NVX XPLOC4 Premium line-out converter is the perfect solution for adding an aftermarket amplifier to your stock or aftermarket stereo system. The XPLOC4 handles a large amount input power (600 watts total, 150 per channel) and uses the signal from your stock stereo or amplifier by tapping into the stock speaker wire and converting it to a 4-channel RCA signal output. This allows you to add an amp simply and effectively. It features a 6:1 Step down with an adjustable gain output, DC amplifier turn-on trigger and a 150 watt maximum input. The end result is a high quality line out converter with super low distortion, and as with all NVX products the engineering and build quality is second-to-none.

First I ordered two 2-channel cheaper LOCs for a single digit price. But they weren't the solution. Instead I got more issues. Defect, no power, poor connectors and build quality. Now, with this unit here I have NOTHING to complain so far. It has power, is easily adjustable, the connectors are of good quality and overall the build quality seems to be fine, too. I didn't check the remote power circuit so far, because I use it at home for my receiver to have a wireless surround connection with some wireless audio transceivers. No distortion and good construction. It does what it says it will do, and made installing my amplifier easier. Longer cables would be nice, and the RCA plugs are unlabeled, so guess and check is needed, but the construction is functional. Note that connecting the +12, ground, and remote turn on is not normally required, unless you plan to use the separate turn on lead. Most aftermarket head-units supply a remote lead that can be wired in straight. Ultimately, a good item, but plan to have a very tangled and inflexible head-unit wiring harness. ... show more

Bought this to add a 4 channel amp while keeping the original head unit. My son and I wired up the NVX box behind the head unit according to the poorly written instructions. We started cutting in the speakers one at a time. Started with front left... no sound. So before we cut any more wires, I contacted NVX customer service and spoke with a technician. He said, “these XPLOC four channels are so new that I don’t know much about them but go ahead and try wiring up the front right speaker also”. So we did just that. Wired up both front speakers and hooked up the battery and poof, faint smell of fried electronics. At this point, the front left speaker is on and sounding great, unfortunately the right front had no sound. After some troubleshooting it was discovered the head unit had lost the right front channel. Ironic, coincidental or was the NVX a factory lemon. Anyway, we now have a nice new head unit and didn’t need the oversized, poorly assembled NVX box. ... show more

It did what it’s supposed to do however it left me with frying in the speakers, not too bad but noticeable the RCA wire on mine came loose it wasn’t bonded to the connectors properly. Wouldn’t recommend to someone who wants extra crispy feel…. Not durable, and a bit chunky

I did not get to hook up the item because I didn't like all the wires that were required to install it. I am sure it works fine but I was unable to test it out myself. It was a bit too much for me to have to rewire the system to get this product working.
