Pictures are a little dark, couldn't use flash. The paper it’s self is thick and very durable. It doesn’t tear easy and feels like a vinyl. I think it will clean up very nicely with a damp sponge or magic eraser if it’s your normal daily messy spot. The silver detail on the trees, actually has a holographic shimmer, foil look to it, that’s very subtle but in the light you capture it. It breaks up the star white and the grey I thought it was. It’s very lovely and easy to adhere. I did it by myself and had no problems till I got behind the entertainment center I can’t move. Then it was rough. I needed 4 rolls to do one wall. The wall is about 12-13 ‘ long, and about 8’ high. The whole wall cost 4 rolls at 27.00 about so if you’re doing a whole room, be prepared for the cost. I think it’s worth it: I’m happy i purchased it, and will definitely stick with this peel and stick wallpaper vs. painting vs. regular wall paper. You can peel it off when your done or make a mistake, and restick it. It doesn’t loose the sticky ness, but I wouldn’t keep taking it up and putting down; just happens I needed to realign it; and it was manageable. The only thing is, I tried to line it up as best as possible and my wall was off level where the molding is, old home, and it created a weird line up in the matching of the tree branches. Have patience. But On a scale of 1-10 on easy, I’d say 9. And on a scale of reccomending I’d say 10 and on a scale of purchase again id say 40, because I’ve bought it 4 times already. Good luck! The media could not be loaded. I purchased this for my bathroom accent wall. I live in a 1990's home that is dated and needed something to jazz it up without breaking the bank. After I finished the bathroom I decided to put it on the center of my kitchen island to help soften and modernize the look. The best thing about this product is that it is non committal. You can remove it without damage. It also has great sticking power so it's not coming loose or falling off. Not even in a steamy bathroom. Make sure you measure and order enough. When you are installing this on a wall you want to peel back some from the top. Maybe 6 inches so you can attach to the top of the wall and work your way down slowly removing the back about 6 inches at a time pressing it to the wall. If you try and remove the backing off of a 6 foot section you risk it folding and sticking on itself and trust me, that is no fun and it will get wrinkled and sometimes unusable. I love this wallpaper! I used it to line the back panel of a white hall tree with silver hooks while assembling it and the results are amazing - the finished combination really makes it look like a custom piece. (Similar to the design in the picture of the lined bookshelf). The background color is white, the branches are silver with a dull sheen - not “Christmas tree tinsel” silver - more like a medium gray overall that looks silver when the light hits it. (I was worried about the color when I purchased, so I hope this description helps if anyone else is wondering). The paper peeled off the backing and applied easily - I just took my time with it, and peeled it back if the part I laid down had a bubble before pressing it down and smoothing it out. I’ve never worked with contact paper before, but found it to be easy and will definitely use it for more projects in the future. One thing to note that may be important to some is that the branches are not solid lines - they are made up of large and small dots and almost look pixelated close up, but it’s not noticeable from a few feet away and I like the dotted design because it looks very contemporary. One other thing to mention is that if your project is wider than the wallpaper, I was not able to see where the pattern repeats. Fortunately for my project, this was not an issue because the hall tree had a board dividing each section, and I was able to line it up well enough with the break in sight line to fake continuity, and you really can’t tell it’s not one continuous piece - even up close. Lastly, the paper is not thin or flimsy, which is why I think it laid out so well. It’s thick and smooth to the touch (no texture). ... show more

There was a learning curve but the ability to take down and reapply was a definite advantage. Also nice to know it will come off easily when the time comes unlike the mess we had on a 10 ft wall with old fashioned wall paper! Great look in our new dining room. Adhered very well on a wall that had not been painted for a number of years and probably flat paint. Is an expensive paper. For the price point think could have grid cutting lines on the back for those of us that are straight lined cutting challenged. Also split down the middle of wall paper back for ease of getting backing off. Also in some of the applications need to work side to side instead of top to bottom so split would be helpful. Match is difficult to see which is good and yet frustrating. Would have been nice to have some markings on the back to help with alignment. Value is up for interpretation. ... show more

Used this paper 2 years ago on top of existing vintage paper & it laid down well (was a rental for a year & I held my breath but no issues!), was thick & didn't show slight defects in 1955 walls. Beautiful paper that updated the original design of the bath without competing & overwhelming. Lots of compliments. Only issue was that the repeat will NEVER fully match (will match in one spot but then not a short distance away despite searching a full roll just to confirm it was impossible) - this is a design/printing issue, but the nature of the design camouflages the issue & no one else has spotted it.
