I've been using Nutramax Welactin Omega-3 Fish Oil for my dog for several weeks, and I've noticed a real difference. The biggest improvement has been in skin and coat heal. Bought for dogs dandruff issue. Cleared up after a few days.

My 11 yr old 45 lb mix started having dandruff issues. I've tried this Nutramax product for over 30 days. My dogs dandruff cleared up after a few days and her coat is shinier. She seems to itch less as well. Very happy with the product.

Amazing product! Bad packaging.

Does it work? Yes, absolutely. I got this for my senior dog’s skin and bones. He has aging joints and his hot spots this spring/summer have been terrible. But after a month of use, I am starting to see both symptoms decline. The bad: all the reviews about the bottle being a pain are true. Each time you pour a dose, at least a drop or two leak out and make a mess of the top. And it’s oil, so it doesn’t clean well and is wasteful of the product itself. The bottle came leaking, but Amazon was great about replacing it. Anyway-- my dog loves this. My vet recommended this to me by name (actually printed the amazon page and gave it to me). It doesn't really smell like anything to me, and my dog doesn't have weird dog burps or anything because of it, but he apparently loves the taste. He now literally waits for me to sprinkle on some oil before he will eat his kibble in the morning. The bottle IS a little messy. Once you get a sense of how much to give them, you don't really need to scoop anymore. I just sprinkle on the amount, then snap the lid closed while it is STILL OVER HIS DOG BOWL. A little burst of oil will shoot out when you snap it closed, which is annoying, but easy to avoid a mess when you know it's coming. ... show more

Welactin is worth the extra cost!

Welactin is the best buy! We’re a pretty modest family with most things, but pet care is one area where we’re willing to spend more when it’s worth it. We follow our vet’s recommendations in almost all circumstances, and Welactin is one of them! Our pup Rocket has struggled with GI upset, sensitive skin—you name it—for years. Those are still underlying issues, but Welactin has been some of the best “damage control” we’ve found. His coat is noticeably nicer, he has less dander, and he’s less itchy. It’s definitely more expensive than some alternatives, but for us the results make it worth the price. We even use Welactin for our cats under our vet’s guidance. We learned that the concentrated dog formula can be measured appropriately for them, which has made the cats happy and saved us quite a bit compared with buying the separate cat formula. Overall, this is one of those pet products I’ll happily spend more on because we can actually see the difference. Welactin is the way to go in our house! ... show more
