Honestly, I have West Elm curtains through my house and think these are 100% comparable in quality, feel, and ease to hang. I hung these in my daughter’s story book nursery and they are lovely! They’re soft and velvety. They make the room feel warm at sunset but block out any light if closed over the window! I have never left an Amazon review before even though I have bought so many things from this site. But I was just closing my curtains thinking about how much I love them so I decided I had to. I needed extra long and wide curtains for a large bedroom window. These not only are the perfect length, but they are wide enough that they are not taut when I close them fully. They are heavy and great quality but super soft to touch. The color (I have the dark green) is perfect - not a bright green at all. I actually realized after I ordered them that I bought 2 - I thought only one came in the package. I was totally willing to pay double. If you are looking for something that is simple but elegant and totally reasonable price wise but still great quality, these are perfect. I spent so much time looking for the right curtains - I wish I had just looked here first.

These are really beautiful and high quality curtains. They are room darkening but not black out. I bought them for my living room so I didn't want totally black out curtains. They let in a very pretty subdued light. Not enough to disturb ones sleep. They are thick and heavy. I bought the blush beige and it's a lovely neutral color that goes really well with the red carpet.

These were nice drapes and what I wanted but they aren't made from heavy stiff fabric. They are lighter and softer and hang nicely. The color was perfect as I needed something with a light peachy beige color for my bedroom. They had creases when they arrived but already look good after hanging them two days ago. They don't have blackout fabric on them but they do a good job of darkening the room and providing privacy. They aren't sheer but they aren't solid either. A very soft drapery velvet curtain if that is what you are looking for.
