    • Excellent product for the price and quality
This product is a fine one. It is worth more money than it costs right now. First of all, its made of plastic, but that doesnt mean that is has a bad build quality. On the contrary, it is very solid and light. So you can carry it to wherever you want without worrying about breaking it or causing damage to it. Also when you use it, the knobs and sliders are actually good. They are very responsive and feels good when using them. They dont turn too quick or too slow. The platters, i like them because i really didnt know that they were touch sensitive, so i was amazed with them. Anyway, for those who know that they are, they a very responsive to the touch, so that means that you can scratch a Little bit with it, and you can increase or decrease the pitch with them to be able to sync the songs. Now, the buttons they could be better, they make a lot of noise when you press them, and you have to press them a Little tougher than you would like to, but i guess one can get used to it. The sound card that it has is a good quality one. It has the entrances that DVDs use so its easy to plug it into the sound equipment. And for the headphones, it uses one of those big jacks, so you will need to have an adapter if need one. Now, you can use this with serato intro, virtual dj and traktor. With serato many option arent available that some other controllers for serato intro have. But it Works good. With virtual dj, well i honestly havent tried becuase I dont really like it. But that is just my personal opinión. I use it with tratkor. It Works very well. It has a standard mapping that comes with tha traktor software. But you can map it so it will fit your needs. Mapping is difficult to learn because it is kinda confusing at first. but when you get it how to do it right, then its a piece of cake. You can find how to map it on internet. I recommend mapping it for your needs and to be able to use it better. You can even set it to be able to use the 4 decks that traktor has. It will take some time, but doing it will give you a great reward. Now sound quality is good!! This equipment can be used for people that want to start djing, for people that want it as a hobby, and for people that want to perform in parties. It can be used for a "level behind pro" events. That is because of the quality. Remember, this product is a well build one for the Price, and has a lot of functions and you can squeeze its features to créate high qualities mixes or remixes, but there are points in which you would like it to be more accurate. One example is the picth, there are times that i would like it to be more accurate, but that doesnt means that it doesnt Works or that it isnt good. In any case, one can get a solution for this.     • Awesome controller for beginners.
I am no pro. However, I have used professional equipment. So I realize that this is not top flight equipment. However, as I am brand new to this stuff I did not have any equipment of my own. I decided it was time to get my own cheap software controller to get started. After researching for months I decided on the Numark Mixtrack Pro. It is amazing. It does not compare to the high grade (and high priced) equipment, but for under 250 dollars it is well worth it. It has all the functions I use, and it is very portable. It works with Traktor and Virtual DJ pro which are amazing programs. It will not replace actual turntables or any of the pioneer cdjs but it will do the job for learning, mixing, and small gigs as well as some other stuff. It is a great stepping stone. I think the jog wheel is a little big, but I personally like that. Also the crossfader feels very cheap and flimsy, but then again I did pay less than 250 dollars for the whole thing so I expected there to be some cheapness to the thing. However all those aside it feels much more professional and more sturdy than all the other software controllers I have used. Like I said I am a beginner so maybe there is something I am missing. The higher end products offer so much more, but the bottom line is that this thing makes my mixing faster, easier, better,and more fun than with the software alone.     • Nice try passing off the cheaper model for the premium price
We ordered the "Mixtrack Pro" and instead get the cheaper Mixtrack model....goes for 75 bucks less than what we ordered. This was sold by Pavillian and fulfilled by Amazon. I'm not sure if it was an honest mistake on their side but I don't like the feeling we got and the annoyance of the return plus the waiting process. This also ruined the morning fun on Christmas...glad my son was old enough to notice this item was the wrong one as they look a lot a like. I will always spend a few extra bucks with Amazon purchases for the fact I can return them without a big headache...this was my first "fulfilled by Amazon" purchase and it seems to be the same process. Anyway, the lower center mixer slide is very loose and without the smooth tension feel that the 3 slides above have....feels cheap. Update: returned it and money was refunded...I feel a lot better. Also, I ordered it again, this time through Amazon as they now have it in stock(for less!). I will keep the crappy rating in hopes that people will read this review and just be aware they could get the cheap model passed off as the "Pro Mixer". I really don't think Pavillion did this by mistake...people have commented on this review saying it also happened to them. That pisses me off and Pavillion should be banned from Amazon and be fined for ripping people off. Good luck people and have a great New Year :) ... show more
