    • Best Mixer At This Price Point
I've done a lot of research on mixers, and it was between the Mixtrack Pro and the Stanton SCS.4DJ. If you're like me, you probably want to throw a few house parties or help out at a friends wedding, you're not looking to become a professional d.j. -- although you almost could with this unit. At almost double the price, the Stanton was out. I ordered the Mixtrack Pro on Amazon and set it up tonight. Let me just say it's very easy to learn and it will be a hit at my next party. The Sync function is almost effortless, and the sound card is really good. I was actually surprised at how loud it was. You won't have to turn up your receiver much. You have to go in the software after setting up Virtual DJ LE and manually tell it to output to the sound card, but it's very easy. However, the point of this review is to help you if you're deciding on a mixer. It will do everything you could want and then some, and is simply the best unit at this price point. For some reason, after reading reviews and looking at some demos on YouTube, I was hung up on the fact it was plastic. Let me assure you it's very sturdy and I actually like the feel of it! Somehow, I equated "plastic" with "cheap", but it certainly is NOT. The case is very durable, and I don't have any issues with it now. Numark really got it right with this one.     • Nice try passing off the cheaper model for the premium price
We ordered the "Mixtrack Pro" and instead get the cheaper Mixtrack model....goes for 75 bucks less than what we ordered. This was sold by Pavillian and fulfilled by Amazon. I'm not sure if it was an honest mistake on their side but I don't like the feeling we got and the annoyance of the return plus the waiting process. This also ruined the morning fun on Christmas...glad my son was old enough to notice this item was the wrong one as they look a lot a like. I will always spend a few extra bucks with Amazon purchases for the fact I can return them without a big headache...this was my first "fulfilled by Amazon" purchase and it seems to be the same process. Anyway, the lower center mixer slide is very loose and without the smooth tension feel that the 3 slides above have....feels cheap. Update: returned it and money was refunded...I feel a lot better. Also, I ordered it again, this time through Amazon as they now have it in stock(for less!). I will keep the crappy rating in hopes that people will read this review and just be aware they could get the cheap model passed off as the "Pro Mixer". I really don't think Pavillion did this by mistake...people have commented on this review saying it also happened to them. That pisses me off and Pavillion should be banned from Amazon and be fined for ripping people off. Good luck people and have a great New Year :) ... show more

    • Great FUN Product
I'm an "OLD SCHOOL" professional DJ. I retired about 10 years ago due to some health issues and I haven't had a chance to play on any "digital equipment" ever since then. Being an old school DJ, I am used to turntables and mixers and some FX boxes. So when I saw this, it looked like fun because it packs everything a DJ needs to perform. All of the gadgets, with the FX are in one small equipment. How can you go wrong specially with the price. I love shopping around before I buy an item online so I make sure I get the best deal for my money. And for this particular product, AMAZON had the lowest price (like most of the time) so I ordered it from them. I just started playing with it and learning all the gadgets and before I knew it, I was back in the groove. It is a great piece and I probably would step up to the Numark Mixtrack Pro 2 next, which just came out last week and pass this on to my son who wants to learn too. One last thing tho'....don't forget to upgrade to the Serato DJ software to get the full potential of this mixer...but don't get me wrong, the Serato Dj INTRO, which came with this product is also a completely great software, specially for beginners...keep on trackin' !!! ... show more
