As a beginner myself it was very easy to put together. On the flip side the actual wheels were a nightmare to ride. They would always turn left even if I tightened it correctly. Just get prebuilt bearings with wheels on them to save time.

I'll break down each part first then giver an overall opinion. Grip Tape: Seems like this was hand cut from a larger sheet, not sure if it is a brand name skateboard grip or just generic anti-slip material. Has a very odd smell. Unfortunately it was also too short so I can't even put it on a deck to test it. Maybe I just got a bad piece, but unless you have an undersized board this grip wont fit. Trucks: Felt a bit slim, but solid. The bushings are so soft, even after tightening these trucks are too lose for me. I'm an average size so like other reviews, different bushings is basically a must with these. Wheels: Felt a bit soft and of a different material than typical skate wheels. Have a feeling they would flat spot easily. For basic riding around, these work fine and look pretty nice. Bearings: They do the job. Nothing special really, decent spin and maintain speed as well or better than most cheap bearings. Skate Tool: It works, but the hex/screwdriver part doesn't clip into the tool itself. Maybe mine is broken or the tool doesn't work this way (most tools have this part clip in from what I'm use to). Overall I'd say this is 4 stars. Being all black, these look great! The price is also a big factor. This set would be great if you have a board you want to display and want a cheap pair of trucks/wheels to put on it. Also a good set if you want to mix and match parts if you already have some decks. If you want a high quality, pro style set up then this isn't the set you want. The wheels are high quality and would fully recommend for begginers. The ABEC-11 bearings come in the wheels already with the spacer already placed. The grip tape is good and high quality but had a funny smell. The trucks are 10/10 and would fully recommend. My order also came with an extra set of bearings and spacers. Although the spacer for the trucks is plastic, it still does the job. The skate tool is alright compared to name brand skate tools. Overall put this on a walmart board and it will make it smooth af ! ... show more

    • Great value for the buck, but better with different bearings.
Wheels are very ascetically beautiful and the build quality acceptable for street skating. The wheels roll smoothly and deflect imperfections in the road due to their softness, however at the skatepark the wheels feel like they will melt after half an hour of use. The listing has the wheels durometer rating (hardness) at 95a but I would realistically compare them to a 78a (typical longboarding wheel). The bearings (included) flow smoothly but the casing is loose and has a very noticeable pivot when lateral pressure is applied. Irregardless I got a month of use out of the bearings but had to swap them out due to inconsistencies in rolling performance . I would give the wheels a [4/5] because of the wheels construction(per price point] while considering the wrong specs are provided, The Bearings I would rate at [2/5] since they work adequately and will suffice for beginners and casual street skaters but under higher loads and vert skating they will fail. ... show more

For what you pay I'm highly impressed. The grip tape fits my deck perfectly. The setup came with an extra set of bearings. The trucks appear to be well made of course the bearings are a little still but that's with all new bearings. If you're building a board and a want decent set of trucks, wheels and bearings you can't go wrong with this purchase it also comes with spacers and adapters and hardware tool. ... show more

So I bought this for a deck I had. Let me first start by saying the wheels I got were not in a package, they were individually in the box, one of them was a different wheel all together. The bearing were not to bad, they allowed me to ride around without any problem, but I bought some other bearing(within a week) to switch out the ones this package came with. The grip tape is good and so is the skate tool. This isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever bough. For the price, ifyou just want to ride around, it is fine. But be aware you will spend more money to improve your board. So spend an extra 30 bucks and buy something that you will not have to switch out all of the parts ... show more
