This is pretty ideal for a smaller child on the top bunk (as long as it fits your bunk - pay attention to the sizes, its not standard fit). Its definitely made with a child in mind as anyone above 100lbs is going to sink through this 2.5" foam and end up sleeping on the bunk board beneath it. The foam itself looks good seems to be pretty good quality and its nice that it came out of the package with no odor so we were able to use it as soon as it inflated. I actually don’t have an RV but instead have a lumpy sofa. This foam was rolled tightly for mailing but once the wrapping was cut, it puffed up nicely. It’s slightly too large for my sofa but it’s close enough that we were able to put a sofa cover on it and it feels awesome! In theory, it should be easy to slice with a knife but right now it serves its purpose well. My teen has fallen asleep on it already so it gets her seal of approval. I could see how RV owners would benefit from this foam but I cannot say if it would fit dimensions in RVs or not. For the price, it’s a great deal compared to similar styles foam mattresses I’ve purchased in the past. It might not be super comfortable by itself on the floor (unless you like firm stiff) but on top of some other padding, it makes a comfy place to rest. ... show more

This Novabright Upgraded 2.5 high density foam RV mattress is 30”wide x 75”long x 3” thick & is actually quite firm… not super firm but it’s a medium firm, especially for a foam mattress. I mean, it’s basically just a large piece of foam that you can cut to the shape that you need. My biggest concern with foam mattresses & pillows is offgassing that could possibly make you sick For this perceived value, I would like to see some kind of safety rating and I don’t so For that reason, I have to take away a star I wouldn’t consider it a great value given the lack of safety rating, but it seems like it will last and is modifiable to your needs ... show more
