The quality of this rug is second to none and the colors are extremely vibrant as well. The red portion DOES fade in the sun over time, but if it’s not in direct sunlight, I think the color could probably last for cheers. The rugs are easy to clean with a broom or hose if needed. They have a sturdy plastic mesh type backing, and the border is very tightly stitched. This rug has a very nice feel under your bare feet,also cleans very well with just mild soap and water. It also dries very quickly after a rain. I would recommend it highly for a closed porch or at least covered,because the beautiful colors didn't last a month on our open porch,they fade quickly,particularly, the bright red. I absolutely love this rug. I ordered it and two different sizes. One for underneath the rocker set with a small side table and the other for journeys is a patio table and chairs. The three dimensional sculpted design rivals even indoor carpets. With very short period of time we were able to weigh down the edges and prevent curling. I previously had an outdoor PVC style rug, which lasted less than nine months in the Florida heat and the edging came loose, which can of course be a tripping hazard.
