Everything about this "hiking" shoes are great, it's waterproof, lightweight, flexible and comfortable. Unfortunately, the the most important part, the outsole grip design is poorly designed. Most of its grip patterns are enclosed like a cookie cutter that traps stuff inside of it. Dirt and snow would get packed into the enclosed grip patterns and compromise the grip significantly. There is one spot on the outsole that looks like they forgot to put the grip pattern on it. See the side by side comparison photo of Nortiv8 other hiking shsoes outsole, which has no enclosed grip patterns; therefore nothing would get trapped. These shoes should be marketed as city concrete pavement sneakers instead of hiking shoes. I would not be hiking for these nor walking on snow/ice concrete jungles. ... show more
