  • Well-constructed, Comfortable Hiking shoes at a Good Price
Size: 12 Color: Black/Dark/Grey/Orange
I have been wearing Keen hiking shoes now for a few years. I was a bit skeptical about buying these Nortiv8 hiking shoes on Amazon as I was not familiar with the brand. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality construction and durability of these shoes, so far it turns out to be a pretty good decision! With the price of similar hiking shoes two times the price of these, I figured I would take a chance, and if they fell apart or wore out in a few years, I would still be happy! The shoes’ fit was perfect for my seemingly wide feet, as they slip right into the shoes with no pressure points. I'm happy to say they seem to be well-built. They are comfortable, as I was able to wear them for several hours while doing yard work in my large 2-acre yard without any issues. They also have some cushion in the insoles, which really helps when going for a nice walk on a park trail, or a short hike in the nearby mountains. These Nortiv8s also have a large toe box, which feels good for my feet and toes. For each pair of hiking shoes, Nortiv8 also includes a 2nd pair of shoe laces – a nice touch! They also seem to be heavier than my Keen hiking shoes, and slightly bulkier. One thing that kind of bugs me is their shoe laces – they are several inches too short. If I put the laces in the top holes, I can barely tie them – maybe I shouldn’t use the top holes (?). I definitely cannot use a double knot that I like to use before I go hiking. The tongue on these shoes is quite thick, and the shoes also feel a bit clunky – but perhaps they just need to be ‘broken in’ some (as their website suggests). But these are small complaints when considering the price, comfort, and the quality of the shoes. I haven’t yet tried to see how ‘waterproof’ they are yet, but if I have any issues, I will just clean them off and spray them with the 3M boot waterproof protection I have (I did this with my Keen hiking shoes and it made them look a little darker (an enhancement!) but it worked perfectly! Please note that on the Nortiv8 website, there are details on how the hiking shoes should fit, what socks to wear, and how to break-in these shoes – very helpful! I would recommend these shoes as of now, so pick up a pair and you shouldn’t be disappointed. I'll update my review if something goes wrong with the shoes over the long term, but for now, I am very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Well mane
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Dark/Grey/Orange
Just a note: I bought these as walking shoes because I hate walking in running shoes, Positives: This shoe has the most comfortable insole I have ever experienced. It shifts the force from heal to toe as you walk. It is well made. The splash guard on the toe is stitched instead of just molded. The grommets for the laces are well made. The shoe is well fit to the heal and the toe bed is nice and wide like my Keens. It really is sharp looking. Cons: They are heavy (clunky). They are also a little hard soled for walking on hard surfaces. They are great for outdoors on the ground. Overall this is a good value. More of a hiking shoe than a walking shoe. 06/03/23 The really comfortable insole has already broken. I replaced it with a sports insole. ... show more

  • Comfortable and non slip
Size: 12 Color: Black/Brown/Yellow
I ordered these to replace a pair of low top water resistant shoes to wear outside everyday, yard work garden etc...it didn't take long to break them in, they have a good cushioned heel, for me size 12 fits with roomy toe box, these are suppose to be waterproof, not sure but I ordered the second pair to wear out on the town, shopping, eat out etc...they seem to fit as sized, I think they look good with the jeans without paying a higher price, I would recommend these also accurate on description, Hope this helps someone checking these out ... show more

  • Damn good shoes
Size: 10 Wide Color: Black/Dark/Grey/Orange
I wasnt sure about getting these shoes at first. I have problems with my feet and usually sneakers are all that keep me comfortable. But sneakers don’t always cut it when hiking. I read the reviews and decided to give them a shot. Boy, am I glad I did! I am very pleased! Not only are they comfortable, but they are wearing great. I have probably put 100 to 150 miles of hiking on them and they still look and feel good. The tread is still thick and the uppers are holding up just fine. I’m sure if I washed them they would look new again. I have hiked on a lot of different terrain and not slipped or got wet feet. I will definitely buy another pair of these when I finally wear them out. The laces were long enough ( some reviews complained they were too short) but I didnt get a second pair of them like some reviews said. I highly recommend these shoes! Great price for a good pair of shoes. I have seen a good bit of the Appalachian Trail because of these shoes! ... show more

  • Heavy and Water Resistant
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Grey
I was hoping for an inexpensive shoe to help keep my feet dry during disc golf rounds in damp or wet weather. These are OK for a while. But there’s a point where Water saturates the shoes enough that it just starts soaking through to the inside usually happens walking in wet grass. Grip was good traction was good. Shoe durability was good, but the water penetrating the shoe was not good for me. Shoes were a bit heavy. Especially when they got wet they were really heavy. Find for light contact with water. OK for hiking though. A bit heavy. Foot support seemed good. Ultimately, I replaced him with a big brand name that was a bit more expensive, but have been 100% waterproof. ... show more

  • Can't beat the price
Size: 9 Wide Color: Black/Grey
For the price, you can't be mad. Definitely comfortable for a wide foot. Working in the rain and walking thru puddles, my feet stayed dried. I will say not much air circulation though which will have your feet stink after a long 12hr shift. Built well and nice grip. Can be used on trailers and all day use. Functions as a work shoes. No comp or step toe but still durable enough to kick tires and not hurt your toes. ... show more

  • Great price.
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Dark/Grey/Orange
Time will tell. I like this shoe after 3miles walking. Not for running. Firm thick soles and roomy for thick socks in cold weather. Difficult to tighten laces tho.

  • Really great pair of shoes for the price.
Size: 14 Color: Black/Dark Grey/Orange-pu
I got these as replacement work shoes, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I had never hard of this brand before and the comfort of the shoes is really good. They seem to be holding up well so far no tears or breaking in the seems anywhere. The only thing that I wish was that the laces were slightly longer as tying them has been a little challenge and they do like to come untied often throughout the day. ... show more
