I needed some good, reasonably priced boots, not necessarily for hiking, but more for wet and wintery days. These seem to fit the bill pretty well. I had never heard of the brand, but that doesn't mean anything since I am not a hiking person and not familiar with hiking brands I opted for the gray color, which looked good in pictures but also in person. These shoes seemed a bit stiff at first to me so figured there would need to be some sort of break in period before they get comfortable. They were also surprisingly light weight. They look pretty solid, so I was expecting more heft, but you should be able to wear these long term without getting too fatigued. They also fit well. Sometimes the same size will vary across manufacturers, but in my case, the 9.5 fit just fine. Overall, I am pleased with these boots and would recommend them to anyone looking for solid, reasonably priced hiking boots.

These hiking boots are some of the most comfortable hiking boots that I have worn. I have a size 13 foot, but always buy size 12 hiking boots because I like a snug fit. These fit nice and tight, bot not too tight. They have a very comfy inside feel. Out of the box the sole is quite stiff, but like most hiking boots it does take a bit of use to loosen up. These do have a rather thick sole. I feel like I'm standing a good half inch taller than I normally do. But the extra thickness seems to provide a bit of extra cushion. Even the sole insert has a bit of extra cushion to it. The tread is rather shallow, it has plenty of grip, but it doesn't insist on holding on to the mud or anything the dog might have left behind. (It's easy to clean) I have not found a weak point of these hiking boots. Everything seems to be well-made and durable.

These boots are comfortable right out of the box. For me, there was absolutely no "breaking in" period needed, I wore these boots for 9 hours the day that I got them. These boots look good, they are stylish, even the shoelaces look good. These boots have a thick sole and deep tread so they can be worn and be ideal for many different activities. The insoles are cushiony and have a great arch support. These boots are not real wide, so be aware of that if you have wide feet. Do some research and read some reviews to make sure that these will fit the way that you want them to fit. I have narrow feet and these fit me perfectly. These boots do give you great ankle support, and if you need a little extra support you can tie the laces tighter. I did that and it made a difference in the amount of ankle support. You can wear these boots for just about anything you are doing. They are made very well and they are made to help protect your feet and ankles while also being comfortable. I would recommend these for anyone and for anything, but I would remind anyone with wide feet to research before ordering. I do believe that your feet would have to be pretty wide for these to not fit well.

I bought this boot for my husband based on my experience with women's snow boots, but it was disappointing. We went on a hiking trip and he couldn't use it there. Very uncomfortable, tiring. As you step, your body moves forward. I don't recommend it to anyone. I would like to return it.

When I tried them on, I loved these hiking boots - they cradled my feet very well. They're well-crafted and well-padded and have all the features -pull-on back loops, speed lacing, well-padded shoe "tongues", and solid but soft heel cups - similar to an old but pricier Timberlands. The mid-ankle design is just what I need for my twist-prone left ankle because of a weaker left leg. These will be perfect during our trips and excursions, where the terrains are jagged, and the best parts of the road are uneven. The size is spot-on; they come in a nice selection of natural color (got a Brown pair) combinations. Once you take them out of the box, you'll be impressed by their rugged looks and how solidly built they are. The thick midsoles are well bonded to the outermost sole - sure to provide excellent traction on your hikes. And, although they look bulky, these boots aren't particularly heavy - the pair of size 8 weighs just 2.4 lbs. You'll get exactly how they look in the several photos they have of the product, including the color -- well done! But the best part is that they are affordable compared to similar mid-ankle hiking boots in specialty outdoor sports shops, chain big-boxed stores, or even at discounted outlet stores!

I have a very wide foot, and I needed a pair of light duty winter/work/hiking boots. These fit the bill. Decent comfort and the fit my foot well. Feel very solid. They look nice as well. No complaints yet! I have not got them soaked or wore them dawn til dusk, but for a light duty boot, I think they are worth it.
