Bought this boot for motorcycle/hiking. Pleased with the appearance and construction. My normal size was large enough. In fact it fit better with an inexpensive insert that added some needed padding. Appears to be waterproof though it doesn't tout that feature. Laces are sturdy, not Mickey Mouse.

These are basic, but decent, casual wear boots. The tread is good and the sole is thick which helps in wet/sloppy weather. My older teen son says they're comfortable, although a little bit of a wide fit around the ankle - which he doesn't mind, but it's something to note especially for anyone wanting a closer fit there. He keeps the laces loose, so tightening those may help with the ankle fit. Boots have metal loops for hooking the laces at the top - that's a nice touch. These run true to size - he has these in size 11, his usual size, and there's plenty of room. No need to size up.
