First and foremost—these shorts run pretty much a full size small! I had to return the mediums for larges, and the large fit well; good waist and only the tiniest bit big overall; the mediums were mega tight—very close to most smalls I have had the mistake of putting on. I would recommend ordering up a size of you like a lil looser comfortable classic fit; these are not slimmer fit shorts all around, just comfortable more classic fit. I got the 7” Simples, and they are nice basic unblemished/decorated shorts with very nice and deep pockets. Nice to have more than adequate pockets (depth) in athletic shorts, Fabric is a thin nylon, but slick nylon (think almost windbreaker nylon), not a tricot or knit nylon.

I recently purchased the NORTHYARD Men's Athletic Running Shorts, and I must say, they have been a great addition to my workout wardrobe. These shorts offer a lot of positives, making them an excellent choice for active individuals. First and foremost, the quick-dry feature of these shorts is a game-changer. I've worn them during intense workouts and even on hot, sweaty runs, and they truly live up to their promise. The moisture-wicking fabric keeps me feeling dry and comfortable, which is essential for a satisfying workout experience. The fit is another highlight. These shorts have an adjustable waistband with a drawstring, allowing for a customizable fit that stays securely in place. Plus, they are the perfect length – not too long to restrict movement and not too short to make me feel exposed. The pocket design is practical, too. There are multiple pockets, including a zippered one at the back, which is perfect for keeping my keys or a small wallet secure while I exercise. It's a thoughtful addition that many workout shorts lack. While I'm generally very pleased with these shorts, there are a couple of minor drawbacks that kept me from giving them a perfect 5-star rating. Firstly, the material, while quick-drying, feels a tad thinner than I expected. It's not a deal-breaker, but I would have preferred a slightly thicker fabric for added durability. I bought these and wore them to Disney/Universal in Orlando. I was halfway through the day when I placed an order for a 2nd pair. They're light weight, quick dry material. Very bathing suit like in texture. The zipper pockets mean I didn't have to worry about cell phones or wallets falling out on rides or while sitting down. Perfect shorts for travel!

Love everything about these shorts - am now buying more colors. Everything everyone says in the reviews are true - they look great, are extremely comfortable, and dry quick. They do run a size small... so order up. My only complaint, and it's more personal to me, is the pocket width... I have pretty big hands and it's very difficult to get things in and out of the pockets. Wish they would be about an inch wider. On the flip side, I don't have to worry about anything falling out and don't have to zipper them. Is it a deal breaker? Obviously not... I wear the shorts predominantly as a travel baseball coach and to workout.
