More well-made all-around use short than specifically a training short, but I wear to the gym and have no problem doing lifts, squats or any other activities that require a full range of movement in these quick-dry, roomy shorts. I’m 6’7”, 240lbs. and the 9” are a comfortable, good looking fit that work with my long legs. Great value that I’ll get more use out of than Nike or Under Armor since they’re cool and lightweight for casual or active use. Great color selection too. So far, the zip pockets have held up well-Initially afraid I wouldn’t like having the beefy zippers and pulls, but the only issue now is durability and longevity of the zippers… fingers crossed. Pleased with the quality of my purchase at this point.

I've worn them during intense workouts and even on hot, sweaty runs, and they truly live up to their promise. The moisture-wicking fabric keeps me feeling dry and comfortable, which is essential for a satisfying workout experience. The fit is another highlight. These shorts have an adjustable waistband with a drawstring, allowing for a customizable fit that stays securely in place. Plus, they are the perfect length – not too long to restrict movement and not too short to make me feel exposed. The pocket design is practical, too. There are multiple pockets, including a zippered one at the back, which is perfect for keeping my keys or a small wallet secure while I exercise. It's a thoughtful addition that many workout shorts lack. I will say that these shorts are comfortable but not as true to size as stated. I ordered 5in seam and it looks more like a 7-9in seam. I compared them to my other shorts that are 5in seam from another brand and the Northyard are a few inches longer so they are not as stated. I cannot find where they tell you the specific in seam size either. They are also a little baggier than I was hoping for but that's not too bad. The extra pockets are nice though.
