Machine wash cover alone in cold water with mild detergent. Tumble dry on low heat. Do not use fabric softener, chlorine bleach, or dryer sheets., Pillow Core Spot clean your Niche core with a clean washcloth and mild soapy solution. Do not machine wash the pillow core. Dry pillow core in direct sunlight when possible.

It piles without even being washed yet. It's not thick enough or offers enough support for me. I have to roll a blanket under my wrist for it to feel supportive enough.

    • Low Quality Materials and Extremely Poor Customer Service
Save yourself some trouble and buy a Boppy. I am giving this nursing pillow a single star for the EXTREMELY poor customer service. I like the shape of it, and the pebble fabric is nice, but only for a few months. It then begins to snag and pill-up all over. Attempts to remove the pills sometimes results in holes. I contacted Nook about the issue. They requested pictures. Fine. I sent pictures. I explained that the issue began within a few months of use. They wanted to know specifically how I had washed the cover, how many times I had washed the cover, and the age of the product when I first washed the cover. It was a bit excessive, but I provided the information. They then told me that they would be processing a return to replace the cover. Fantastic! I sent the requested form to them. They then contacted me and said that they were reversing the decision to replace the cover because their warranty only covers 180 days of ownership. They did, however, offer me 15% off of the purchase of a new cover. The replacement covers are $80! At 15% off, it would be $68 BEFORE shipping and handling charges. Excuse me? This is a $100 nursing pillow! They only believe in their fabric's ability to last for 180 days???! In all honesty, if I had realized that the company isn't even willing to warrant their product for longer than 180 days, I would not have purchased it. What new mother has time to even think about submitting a warranty request during the first 180 days after giving birth? And, consider, if you bought the Nook Niche 1-2 months prior to giving birth, as many new moms do, you have less time to even use it and go through the rig-a-ma-role of submitting a warrant request. Seriously, save yourself the trouble and just get a Boppy. At least you'll be able to use it for several kids, instead of just for a few months with your first kid. And if you need a new Boppy cover, they retail for around $10 on Amazon. If you really like the shape of the Nook, just make one. You can buy some really nice organic fabrics and fillers for a lot less than $100. In summary, the fabric on the cover is not made to be used on a daily basis (let alone several times/day), the replacement covers are extremely over-priced, and customer service is not trustworthy, nor do they stand behind their products. ... show more
