ORIGINAL REVIEW: These gloves provide great safety for hands and fingers. I ordered a large size based on a sizing chart. Gloves fit my hands very good except for the fingers. Every glove finger was an inch too long. The "extra" white finger material at the end of each finger gets in the way when using my mandolin, every time. It is very inconvenient and distracting to have to hold the extra material out of the way with my other hand. If my fingers were six inches long I would have given them five stars. REVISING MY OPINION After voicing the problem of finger length NoCry immediately refunded the purchase price. I subsequently purchased a second pair of gloves and the fit was perfect. I I have a large garden and dehydrate or freeze the produce. Almost always use a mandoline slicer. Have never had a cut or scratch while wearing the new pair of NoCry gloves. I used a new mandoline and these kept me from the emergency room! I'm very cautious, but one time my vegetable slipped and I would have cut myself badly if I hadn't been wearing these. Before purchasing, I measured my hand and the size recommended fit perfectly.

I ordered the recommended size based on my measurements and the manufacturer's size guide. It's a bit small, but that's good because a tight fit is preferable. The next size up might have been loose, which would be difficult to use.

I suffered a stroke which disabled my favored right sided. I still love to cook and perform kitchen prep including de-boning poultry and knife skills although my hand sometimes becomes unsteady and have superficially nicked my left fingers holding the vegetable/meat, etc. I never used a cutting glove before and am dumbfounded why I did not years ago. I was using it for whittling (as a beginner). I made a mistake in my stroke, the stroke landed squarely on the knuckle of my thumb with a sharp blade. It cut cleanly through the wrap I had around my thumb, but barely put a slight cut in this thing before stopping. I felt the power of my stroke as the blade hit my thumb and barely put a slight cut at the very surface of the skin, barely drawing any blood. Was very fortunate.
