  • Great replacement for a box spring!
Size: (76'x 54' Full Size)
Bought this to go under a full size mattress, instead of a box spring. It fit perfectly and provides great support for the mattress.

  • These boards make a noticeable difference in support for mattress
Size: (76'x 54' Full Size)
We have a metal platform bed in our guest room and just replaced the “bed in a box,” fully memory foam mattress atop it with an innerspring hybrid mattress. I felt like the sides of the new mattress were terrible quality from the sagging into the bed frame itself, saw this nifty set of panels, and wanted to give it a shot to see if it would help prolong the life of the mattress and offer support, which it definitely has. This thing has totally saved us from compromising the style and storage capacity of the bed frame by having to add a box spring, so I’m really impressed with the support here, especially for panels that look so thin (but are heavier and weightier feeling than the mattress on top!) The compressed fiber panels are surprisingly weighty and strong. While I wish the bunkie board was one board that just rolls out, the panels are relatively easy to arrange if you have another set of hands - I could not have managed the laying of these by myself, as they are heavy, large, and a little difficult to get all the way, securely into place on top of rounded, non-fixed metal slats that roll on that particular bed. The end result? A way more supportive bed and bed frame that does not need a box spring. I truly wish I had known bunkie boards existed before we replaced the entire mattress, as these platform beds absolutely DO need the added support of a sturdy, flat surface between the mattress and bed slats! Still a bit of squeaking from the bed frame itself, but to a noticeably lesser extent. The edges of our new hybrid mattress do actually feel sturdy, so the mattress was definitely sinking into the frame without this. All in all? Sturdy, heavy duty, and supportive in a way that will prolong the life of our mattress on an otherwise unsupportive bed frame. Just enlist the help of a friend to assist with the unboxing, arranging of the panels and help to lay the mattress gently on top of the compressed fiber boards to avoid them shifting if your platform bed is like ours and lacks fixed slats. ... show more

  • Extra support for your mattress
Size: (80'x 60' Large Queen Size)
I got this platform to go under my mattress to provide some support for my back pain. I struggle to get out of bed and this is the perfect about of stability that I needed. Very easy to assemble with the flexibility of the panels. The size fits nicely on my queen size bed frame. Good value for the cost ... show more

  • Low-Profile, Noise-Minimizing Bunkie Board
Size: (80'x 76' King Size)
This King Bunkie Board is an absolutely necessary foundational investment that effectively solves the problem of mattress sagging and height issues with high-profile bed frames. The core value of the board is its Low-Profile Design, which, at just 10mm (0.4 inches) thick, is significantly slimmer than traditional box springs. This minimal height is crucial for modern platform beds, daybeds, and bunk beds, preventing the mattress from looking overly tall while ensuring a firm, stable base. The construction is expertly engineered for specialized performance. The board is typically made from a high-density, durable wood or wood composite and often features a breathable fabric cover. This solid, even surface is essential for protecting the integrity of delicate foam and hybrid mattresses, preventing them from sinking into the wide gaps between wooden slats, which can often void a mattress warranty. I am rating this product four stars because I have found that while the board is superb for support, some user feedback indicates potential issues with sizing and quality control. Some older reviews for similar models suggest that the initial sizing was occasionally inaccurate and the panels could arrive flimsy. However, newer versions often feature a reinforced Modular Portability Design with hook-and-loop fasteners for easy setup and Noise Minimizing fabric covers, addressing earlier concerns. Buyers must still ensure they verify the dimensions before purchase. Overall, this Bed Support Slats alternative is a high-quality, long-lasting, and highly recommended purchase. It is an indispensable, superior solution that provides excellent support, necessary noise reduction, and essential mattress longevity. ... show more

  • Comes in a box marked "HEAVY"
Size: (76'x 54' Full Size)
What's a bunky board? It's a "board," usually made of cardboard, that goes under a foam or hybrid mattress that does not have a box spring. I had seen them before. They didn't look "all that" to me, so I made one. Way to stay classy, right? The homemade bunky board was Amazon boxes, flattened and taped together in the size of a full bed. Did it do the job? Yes. Was I happy? No. This is our newly refurbished guest room, and I already DIY'd the headboard, the over-the-headboard artwork and lamp shades. Did I really want a DIY bunky board? No, and here's why: It is downright tacky to put a brand new mattress on a brand new frame in a brand new room, and then use cardboard and tape beneath the mattress! The tape made a crinkle noise, slipped from under the mattress and just looked half-arsed. This bunky board arrived in a box too heavy for either of us to lift alone. I was wrong to DIY a bunky board. You can't just make a bunky board. At least I could not make one even a quarter as good as this one! I can see why it was priced higher than I expected, and now I believe the quality for the cost was absolutely worth it. No tacky tape crinkle noise, no slipping, no sagging. It works perfectly and fits right, too. ... show more

  • Good Support for an Old Mattress
Size: (80'x 76' King Size)
We used this bunkie board under an older mattress, and it made a noticeable difference right away. It adds firmness and keeps the bed from sagging in the middle. The board feels sturdy and smooth, and it doesn’t shift once in place. It was easy to set up, though a little heavy to move alone. The bed feels more supportive now, and we’re both sleeping better. A practical fix without buying a whole new frame. ... show more
