Then I had these curtains pop up on Amazon, checked out the reviews & took a chance. I'm so happy I did! I bought white and the fabric is soft but sturdy, seamed well. Washed & dried well following instructions and hung them out of the dryer without the need to iron. They're not sheer enough to see through, but they really let in the sunlight, which is great! I try to buy locally and chose a USA company, but it is manufactured in China. Still, good value and price point for these curtains & no smells at all after washing. Glad to have found them! We'd bought another set of curtains for a guest cabin window. Those were advertised as blackout curtains. Maybe it was the processing (blackout), but the curtains had no drape to them. They fell like slabs of styrofoam, making the window an ugly mess. These microfiber curtains are obviously a budget set, but they suit our purpose perfectly. They offer guests privacy while letting in enough light to brighten an otherwise dark space without the light annoying guests. And because these curtains are all fabric (no hard plastic coating), they drape as you'd expect cloth to. The curtain comes with a double rod panel at the top--so you can use the top-most rod panel for a smooth drop with a bit more length or you can use the second rod panel for a shorter drop and that old-fashioned country-window scrunching at the top. As a bonus, these were more economical than the blackout slabs we'd originally purchased which are now being returned to Amazon. We can't speak to other colors' fidelity, but the white (which we purchased) is clean and crisp. And the hems are all straight and tidy. We anticipate cleaning these will be a snap--very hot water and a little soap and oxygen-bleach (though time will tell). All in all, especially for the price, these are a terrific basic curtain set for a small window. ... show more

    • It is a very thin curtain but not sheer.

I bought the white set. This is exactly what I wanted. Not sheer and not heavy. I wanted the light to penetrate the bathroom when they are closed yet have privacy at the same time. I use a clear, smallish to medium sized, $tree hair clip to tie them back. The clear clips are barely noticeable and do the job well. I never used the clear clips that came on the pkg with the brown clips that I wanted for my hair and now they work perfectly on the curtain. My window was only 33 inches tall and the curtains say 36 inches. However, once you load them onto the rod the length shortens and they are only about 1 inch to long to nestle into the window. When I use the clips they are the perfect length an just touch the sill. My guess is the curtain is 1 inch shorter and the narrow rod takes up a half inch, and clipping takes the curtain up another inch except on the furthest outer edges. So for my window it worked out perfectly. It does wrinkle just a tad on the sill but they wrinkle does not crease in when they are closed which is only about 6-8 hrs at night. I had to install these on the inside of the window as the window literally sits against the corner of wall and an over the window rod was impossible. The window was only 23 inches wide and NO stores around had a small rod which normally cost $1.99 and amazon's cheapest was $12 so I bought a 49 cent 2 piece holder (was a pack of 4 sets but only needed one set) and a 59 cent dowel rod for the curtain rod at hobby lobby and just painted the dowel white like my fixtures and curtain. The effect was perfect. the cost was very reasonable. So, NOT sheer enough to see through but thick enough for privacy. You probably could see a faint shadow to only know if someone was there at night if walking outside. This is a window on the back of the house with a privacy fence so it was not a concern for me. I would get something a tad bit thicker OR a darker color to eliminate shadow from the outside view if on the front of a house. ... show more

Very nice cotton kitchen curtains light weight. 3 piece set. The Yellow color is a darker sunny yellow. When you hang valance & two curtains, it makes the two bottom curtains hang below a little longer than expected for a 33 x 54” inch window. The bottom curtains are 44” long and the valance is 10” long. You don’t get much separation between the valance and 2nd curtains on a 33x54 “ window. Make sure and measure! I did but still was off about the separation between valance and 2 piece curtains. The price was a good deal for a 3 piece set. ... show more
