I used to get ingrown hairs after shaving, but now after a mix of correct shaving technique, exfoliating, and using this aftershave I haven't gotten one in months (knock on wood). Smells great and feels fresh. If I don't apply it after shaving now I feel weird

I don't need anything fancy as an aftershave. I typically use Neutrogena after shave cream with SPF protection. Saw the Nivea product and thought to try. It doesn't offer SPF protection but I knew that before buying. Nivea has a clean, light fragrance, however it is too runny for my liking. I was also applying the SPF protection cream on top of this balm. I will not re-purchase Nivea and go back to Neutrogena. ... show more

The performance and fragrance of the product is good. It has a light smell and does a good job moisturizing. The container is another story. The cap isn't particularly easy to screw on and off. The hole in the top of the container is much too large and causes far too much product to spill out. I suppose I could take a cynical approach and say it's because they want you to waste it so you'll buy more, but I think it's really just a case of poor design. The metal bottle is still better than the white glass version, which is just a bad idea all around. Nivea is trying too hard. Just put it in a decent recyclable plastic bottle and be done with it. ... show more

I always like Nivea products. This is one I'm very happy with. Works well when I put on my stubble and works very well as an aftershave. Not much of a scent to it, but it smells clean and feels good and that's what matters.
