I purchased the Nisorpa Laminate Floor Cutter to use a quick cutter for ¼" thick MDF panels. The floor cutter required assembling which took about ten minutes. The assembly and operating instructions aren't the clearest. Luckily there aren't many parts and very few ways of piecing the floor cutter together. The blade is razor sharp and slices through the MDF material with ease. It's durable with a full metal body. It's easy to operate, but the design is very limited. I thought that this floor cutter was one with a movable blade, which would have made this a far more versatile and useful tool allowing for longer straight horizontal cuts. Well, this floor cutter only cuts straight and angle up to 45 degrees. The maximum cutting width is 9 ½ inches. The maximum cutting height is just over ½ inch. I had to use a jigsaw to cut the MDF pieces down width-size so they'd fit onto the floor cutter.. This would have been a one-tool job with a moveable blade. This floor cutter isn't exactly a small tool either. It takes up a lot of space. In my personal opinion, the design limitations make for a very easily outpaced tool that will need to be replaced with another tool to cover the gaps and then there's more unneeded clutter. So why not just skip all of that? There are other quick use floor cutters on the market in the same price range that offer more bang for your buck. The Nisorpa Laminate Floor Cutter isn't a bad floor cutter. It's just a very no-frills, basic one.

The media could not be loaded. This cutter is more than adequate for LVP, vinyl cove base or similar soft materials, but I can't imagine it cutting the engineered hardwood or solid wood shown in the advertising images. I was able to cut thin $0.89/sqft laminate with it and it's nowhere near that quality. The bigger planks also won't fit into this cutter at an angle because they're over 8” wide. The narrower planks cut straight or at an angle almost as easily despite being thicker. Door trim works fine if it's lightweight rather than the wide wood from the over 100-year-old section. Assembly instructions weren't well labeled or overly clear. I suggest loosely installing the 2 big bolts into the metal rail before any of the 3 tabletop bolts- when I installed them first, the top bent just enough that the long bolts wouldn't thread. It takes up a lot of space once assembled because there's no way to fold it down or anything, so I've stored it tipped up on its end when not in use. It's probably worth getting one of these if you're installing more than a single bathroom’s vinyl plank flooring and cove base or even low-end laminate planks. You might want to stick with saws for the thick wood shown on some of this listing’s photos.
