I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this piece! It is everything I hoped for. BUY this one! I bought the Queen size. It is truly a very large, heavy and durable piece of furniture. The wood is solid. It came in 4 pieces which was great because it was going to an upstairs room and made life easier. I found nothing broken and no pieces or hardware missing. I received the mattress first. (Then a day later the other 3 boxes.) The mattress does have a slight odor, but after a day or so left flat, it was fine unless you put your nose to it. But that has also since dissipated. The mattress has a foam core with a thick poly cotton stuffing surrounding it. The mattress has a zippered cover, but there is no way to remove the cover for washing (which is why you would normally want to remove a cover) unless you want the stuffing all over the place. So I don't understand why there is even a zipper but it could be convenient if you wanted to add more stuffing, rearrange the stuffing or even replace the entire foam core and stuffing if needed. But you just know this mattress will hold up as I don't see it sagging or denting in the center (probably due to the stuffing "protecting" the foam core. But time will tell. We will rarely be using this futon as a bed. We are using it as seating for my husband's "Man Cave" and it gives us the seating capacity of a full size sofa! 3 adults could be comfortably seated. But I love that the option is there to turn it into a bed when needed. It fit all my needs. The mattress cover is of very good quality and seems quite durable. I bought the Twill Khaki and the color is great! I have also used a sofa cover easily found on Amazon to place over the futon because I have kitties who love it! I saw many reviews where people had problems assembling. My husband had a few questions with the directions, but it didn't take very long (maybe an hour and a half? - not including the drawers) for him to put it together with a little help from me to hold a piece in place here and there while he screwed it in and then again when we lifted the back end to place in the grooves on either side to attach it to the seating part. I would recommend another person be available for these reasons. I DO recommend reading and thinking through all the directions FIRST and familiarizing yourself with the pieces. Missing hardware for us was NOT an issue. I LOVE EVERYTHING about this futon. EACH side of the futon has a small table that can be extended and held in place by wood pieces that swing out underneath to hold the side tables up and out. Simple to use and put away! When used as a bed, there are also wood legs that you are able to pull down to give extra support on the edges. It is easy to re-position as a bed, but you may need help doing it and getting it back to its upright seating position due to the weight of the mattress, but I do not consider this a problem. I think the way I have it set up is in the lounging position and not the upright position, but I love it at this setting. Kind of like a reclining chair set back at a slight angle. VERY COMFORTABLE! Perfect for my use in this room. I have only tried it at the bed setting and this lounging setting. I have not "played" around with the upright setting. I didn't feel the need to try to maneuver it into the upright position since it is heavy. You may want to play around with the different seating options BEFORE you place the mattress onto the frame. Although I have not yet put the drawers together, it has been stated in the question/answers area that they do not need to be removed before using the futon as a bed. I LOVE the idea of drawers being available for this set. I could put a queen size sheet set in them or maybe use for the controls for a video game console! Th pillows shown ARE NOT included just for your information. This futon is solid, NOT cheaply made and hopefully over time the mattress will hold up! I recommend buying this set that includes the drawers and the mattress. I am SO HAPPY I spent the extra money to get these options. Since it is a really big piece of furniture, I highly recommend you measure your area before settling on either the full size or the queen size. All in all I LOVE THIS SET! ... show more

I’m happy with the Futon. I’m very pleased with the finish of the wood! I took a star off do to the fact the instructions were not include with the main box. I think there was a total of 4 boxes that arrived at different times including the mattress. Then instructions were in the last box that arrived, not one of the main boxes. I don't believe I was ever told just how many boxes to expect. That would of been helpful. So we did find a good video online to put the Futon together. I also wasn't initially thrilled with the color of the mattress. I got Khaki color, but it was more gold in color then a Khaki color. It didn't look like the picture online, but it is growing on me. It is comfortable though! All and all I do like my Futon, but I think they can do a better job with information on boxes and instructions. ... show more

Product comes in multiple packages, so id recommend waiting until all futon frame packages come in prior to trying to assemble. The manufacturer does email you, letting you know this, and let's you know that the mattress will arrive a bit after the frame due to being made to order. Over all the mattress came within 2 weeks of the frame. Everything came decently packaged. Only box damaged was the mattress box but the item it self was intact. The frame is sturdy, fairly easy to assemble. Assembled it mainly by myself with the exception of a few times where you need two people. Would be easier with two people though. The mattress will fluff up after opening. It's good quality and a nice soft material. The color wasn't exactly what I thought it'd be but I planned to use a cover sheet anyways so I'm not displeased regardless. All in all, the quality is extremely good and the extra storage and side tables are a nice bonus to have. The price is expensive but for what you get it's worth it in my opinion. ... show more

First for over $900 I would expect much less assembly. Second the product feels like it's about to break at any minute it is rickety at best. Third it's impossible to convert this product back into a couch without at least two people. Which is absurd and just plain piss poor design. I am purchasing a lifting strap with a handle to make getting the backrest piece moving possible. Also it's made in Indonesia not America which it's clearly named to make you think is the case. Honestly this product is maybe worth $200 to $300 and that is with the Futon and drawers included not just the frame. ... show more

This is really a beautiful piece when assembled. We are still struggling with the lower bed drawer assembly, since the pieces seen to be off by maybe 1/32" and don't want to quite mesh. Getting out the long clamps tomorrow since I picked up a rubber mallet today, and think we should be good to go. I probably would suggest going the extra bucks and having a professional assemble this if you have limited woodworking experience or a low frustration threshold, or a limited to selection. I pointed my young adult son and daughter at this and told them to have fun. The son is relatively good with his hands and likes tools. The daughter excels in reading and following directions and making sure son does exactly what she tells him to do, so between the two of them, they are relatively competent. Took them an afternoon to get it together (except for the lower drawers), and they had a good time. I was somewhat concerned about the futon mattress, since the innerspring ones are recommended for futons that will be seeing daily use and my son is a relatively tall and normal weight male. He finds the mattress extremely comfortable and proclaims himself extremely satisfied. He is having difficulties adjusting the futon to the different positions, but it may be a queen futon needs two people, or the mattress may simply need to settle a bit.
