Purchased this gem for Prime Day. I'm not an expert by any means, and this is my first SUP. I've taken her out a few times now, and I'm in love. I will say, though, if you're not into manual labor or physical misery, spring for an electric pump. I was dry heaving and sweating my eyebrows off trying to pump this up manually in 90° heat. I just got the Gicle brand pump ($39.99) and it's well worth it. I love that everything you need (minus an electric pump) is included. It's easy to fit everything back in the bag and not very heavy at all. I have no problem transporting it inflated or deflated, and I'm not a fitness-type of lady by any stretch of the imagination. Just be mindful that this board is 10.5' long, so it's easy to have a "Three Stooges moment" if you're not careful while carrying it inflated. I've taken it out on a lake that has a lot of weeds & lily pads, and I haven't had any issues with snags or getting stuck yet. I did have a small issue with the paddle being bent upon arrival, but the Customer Service through Niphean was very helpful and sent me a new one at no charge. It does get marked up pretty easily and I'm not sure what to use to clean it, but that's not a huge issue. If you're on the fence about buying a SUP, I think this is a great choice. It's sturdy, easy to use, and SO CUTE. As a side note, it's probably best to check the laws in your (US) state regarding paddle boarding. Apparently, Indiana requires paddle boarders to have a lifejacket onboard and it's a $150 fine otherwise. Plus, safety and stuff. So yeah, get out there and have fun! ... show more

As a newbie, this was an excellent paddleboard bundle! I use it every weekend on the lake, especially at sunrise and sunset. I love it! The pump works well, but I may look into getting the battery powered kind to make it easier. The board looks really nice and is still inflated all the way from a month ago! It’s durable so I don’t worry when it’s tied to the pier and waves come in. Speaking of waves, the fins keep it so steady and on course and it cuts through the chop like a champ! It’s super stable for me, but I usually sit while I paddle and use the kayak paddle. I got the inflated seat and it’s so comfortable and worth every penny! I like that it has a lot of d-rings so I can attach various things to it as needed. I also got the cup holder and wet/dry bag and those have been wonderful! I even got a little waterproof speaker to listen to audiobooks or music at times. Aside from being a great product, the next best reason to get this one is the excellent customer service from Niphean Support. See, I failed to properly lock my paddle and wound up losing one end of it in the deep water on the lake. I contacted Niphean and explained my mistake and they were super nice and even shipped me a replacement! I’ve even got a friend ready to order from them after trying mine out. Easy to carry as a backpack and pump up for a 5’7” woman. Takes about 15 minutes to pump up with provided pump. Takes some work to pump up. May consider an electric pump. Deflates in about 5 minutes. Feels stable in the water with adult and child on it. Love the width to sit on so we don’t always need to get soaking wet. Durable material and looks so pretty. Totally worth the money. ... show more

This is a fantastic SUP! Lots of fun, and great quality for the price. I LOVE the colors with the wood grain effect. Includes a patch kit and everything fit nicely in the backpack storage bag that is included-my 12 year old was able to wear it and transport it. It was stable (glad the Niphean includes that center fin) for my 12 tr old, and for myself. He was able to climb up easily onto the board if he fell in. Taking off 1 star for the pump, it is cheaply made, we'll probably invest in an electric pump just for convenience, but our 14 yr old pumped it up with the provided pump in about 6-7 min. Overall, we love it for fun family memories in the bay and will definitely purchase another Niphean in the future. If you're looking for a good value SUP, buy this one! ... show more

I'm a sea kayaker, and I wanted to give SUP a try. I bought this on a whim, and I'm very impressed with the whole package. The only thing I needed the directions for was the PSI inflation number that was needed--everything else was very intuitive, well-designed, and user-friendly. It takes some effort (10-15 min) to inflate it manually, but not too bad--it was probably an hour between the time I opened the box and had it out on the water at a small local cove (coastal Massachusetts). The paddle went together easily, and the fins clip right on snugly. The package even includes a small dry bag for your keys/wallet. Having never used one before (and not really having any instruction,) I found it easy to mount and start paddling. The ocean was a little choppy, so for my first time I just kneeled on it and didn't try standing, but it seemed very stable and I paddled around for 45 min or so. All in all, a great package for the money and extremely user-friendly. It's not going to replace my kayak, but it's a nice alternative way to get out on the water if you don't mind getting a little wet. It's light weight makes it easy to transport.
