Great for groups!
I'm a long time nintendo fan, I've had to skip the last few consoles unfortunately, life and work and all that, but this has been a great console to jump back in on. It's really user friendly. I thought the portability and controllers being detachable was kind of gimmicky, but it's actually pretty handy to be able to pick it up and play away from your tv and it's base. I rarely do it, but as more of my friends get the system I imagine it'll happen more and more often. The detachable controllers actually feel kind of good too. I've got pretty large hands and have always preferred the xbox controller (ergonomically superior imo), but the adapter that you receive with the 2 controllers to combine them works very well. That being said I bought the pro controller, it looks and feels almost exactly the same as the xbox controller, so it's perfect for me. Loved getting Mariokart 8 with this console as well. I still remember the epic battles my friends and I would have playing mariokart 64 over 20 years ago, and the newest mariokart does not disappoint when getting a group together and playing to rekindle that nostalgic love we all share for the game! I've also bought the newest super smash bros for this console, and it's amazing, definitely a must buy if you enjoy fighting games or have been a fan of the smash bros. series in the past. All in all, love the newest nintendo system!

One of the best videogame systems I've ever played
I've had many videogame systems, from the original Nintendo, to the PS1, 2, 3, to the Nintendo Wii... and I really think that this one is the best in terms of flexibility & fun (which is the main reason for playing videogames!). Other systems may have better graphics or sound (Xbox/PS4), but the Switch really is the most FUN. Can play in the car, then get home & drop it into the dock to play on the TV, and the graphics look great. The main panel is touchscreen, you can add your own MicroSD cards (no need to buy proprietary OEM cards (Sony, looking at you)). We've had a blast playing with this system over the past few weeks. Nintendo really nailed it with the Switch. If I had to find a complaint, it would be the small size of the controllers, but it's still perfectly playable & Nintendo seems to have balanced size & convenience with playability. The buttons aren't too small to press accurately, and it quickly becomes second-nature to play. Looking forward to many fun games in the future.

LOVE THIS SYSTEM!
The system can on time and I love that it came bundled with a game! I'm glad I got this deal for $299, so basically the game was for free! I'm a 30 yr old woman who loves playing video games. I haven't had a Nintendo system since my Gameboy Color haha! I love how portable this system is and how it can also hook up to a tv as well! I wanted something I can take during my travels for work and leisure and also set up on a big TV screen. There are multiple ways to play the system: hook it up to the TV, carry it around, take the joy cons off and set the screen on a stand, and the screen is touch screen! The Switch is awesome! If you're an older adult that loves to play video games, don't sleep on the Nintendo Switch!

Nintendo has copied the razor blade business model
When I bought this three years ago it was great. For the first two months anyways. Then the joycons started drifting and no amount of calibrating could fix it. No big deal; there’s bound to be some hiccups with a new console, right? I mean, they’re going to fix this in hardware revision, right? Since then I have used repair kits (let that sink in for a moment, there are businesses that do nothing but fix joycons.), bought third party controllers (btw, if a game needs a later firmware version for the controllers, these become instantly useless), or just sucked it up and spent $70 plus on a new set. Don’t even get me started on the “Pro” controllers. With the money I spent on the console and controllers I could have bought a PS5 with a couple of controllers and AAA games.

Consider this a mobile gaming platform and it will exceed expectations.
So far I am enjoying my Switch quite a bit. I love to be able to play great games on the go, and it seems like this is going to be the best way to do that for the foreseeable future. I have gamed on the PSP and PS Vita before but those don't like they are going to be continued so this was my best replacement. For a home-gaming console, like every other Nintendo platform since the gamecube, you will most likely end up only using this for the Nintendo exclusives, almost every other game is going to look better and be cheaper on another system. That said if it is your only console option, there are lots of other good games available for it, but if you can play them elsewhere you probably will. As a Wii U owner I also felt very burned by the fact that the grand majority of good titles for the Switch are Wii U re-releases at FULL PRICE. From a business perspective I understand them needing to recoup expenses after the failure of the Wii U but they have totally burned anyone who bought those games at full price for the Wii U. If I could get those games at reduced prices because I already bought them once, or if they were 39.99 instead of 59.99 I would have spent a lot more money with them. In fact I waited until now to get a Switch because they finally released a new Smash Brothers, in a year hardly anything noteworthy had been released that you couldn't have played already on the Wii U. In the end this is probably the best mobile gaming platform for the next 5 years, so I bit the bullet and have been enjoying it. But I could be enjoying it much more if Nintendo wasn't trying to make up for the fact that the Wii U was a flop.

Very good but there were issues upon arrival..
UPDATE: It took about two weeks but Nintendo sent me a new unit. My son has been thoroughly enjoying it ever since! I have changed the rating. I got this for my son as a Christmas present. He really liked it for the four hours that he got to play it. It quit working when trying to use it the following day. I have to send it in for repair and will have to wait up to a month to get it back. Nintendo has great customer service but obviously they need to work on quality. I will update this review after I get it back and my son plays it for more than a few hours. This was his only present from me so it's pretty disappointing to both of us.

Extremely satisfied
I am extremely satisfied with how fast and reasonable the shipping was , I expected it to come later than it did and it actually surprised me that it was upgraded to 2 day shipping vs any other seller who was selling the same product. I love my Nintendo switch bundle I'm verry happy that It had everything and it even came with a set of racing steering wheel adapters as an added u expected bonus for my controllers I thought its was verry well worth the price I paid for this item and would gladly purchase from this seller in the future !

Newer not always better
An upgrade for sure, but a bit disappointed by the initial out of box experience. -1 star for the ridiculously complicated initial setup process. I would compare it to buying a car. Unnecessarily long and way too many redundant steps in the process. Couldn’t use the same account as the Wii (it’s still active), so had to create a new one. Entered details such as birthday on both the console and again on phone later. Had to enter a password multiple times - this gets extremely annoying if you do like you should and create a complex password that is unique to this system. -1 star for not having a standard game. A bundled game doesn’t even have to be a great game. Wii sports wasn’t awesome, but it was entertaining and made for a system that was usable out of the box without any extra purchases or need to download anything. With the switch I paid for a bundle that came with a download code for game. It did NOT come with any physical media and offers NO savings over physical media. I ended up paying the same as I would have if I bought a standalone game that included physical media. -1 star for making me pay for my classic games AGAIN. I know there is a subscription and it is not that expensive, but it’s the only way to play the games on this system that I’ve already paid for. The Wii was supposed to put an end to this, but I guess I fell for the marketing a few years back.
