This looks cool to a kid who wants to dress up as a ninja. The problem is there is a 12 in "slit" in the back the kid is supposed to use to actually put the costume on. Worse, the hood is attached ALL the way around and there is no slit in the back of the hood to help with getting it over their head. I get it, you don't want to lose the hood, but you also don't want your kid to break their neck to get it on or off. My underweight 5-foot tall son fits the length/proportions just fine, but he had to twist and turn to get his legs, and one arm into the costume. Then we put the hood over his head followed by the other arm. It's probably an okay design to wear one time only for a few hours to trick or treat or attend a party. It's a terrible design if your kid needs to use the restroom at all during this time and would not have a parent to help them. It's a seriously unacceptable design if your kid wants to wear this to school on their Halloween dress-up day. I regret buying it. ... show more

The medium fits my 9 year old son well. For the most part it looks true to the listing's pictures. My son loves it. Here are my few concerns: The body suit is all one piece with a large opening in the back to get in through, but it only goes from the lower back to the neck. My son has to bend himself in half to get his head in after his legs are in. Tried putting his head in first and he can't step into it because the opening doesn't extend far enough down. The mask is exceptionally small. It does not appear to be near as large as the picture shows. The joke in our house was that we accidentally received an eyepatch from a pirate costume instead. Luckily we have plenty of facemasks right now. The last thing to note is more advice than criticism. Make sure to tie up the lacing at the bottom before letting your child run around in this. My son excitedly ran through the living room after getting suited up the first time and stepped on one of them, ripping it right off. I find these issues to be minor and am mostly satisfied with the costume. ... show more

This is a pretty cool looking costume for the money. Only complaint is that it is cheaply made. My son wore it once before Halloween to see how it looked and 2 seams have already come lose. One is on the hood so it’s not from rolling on the floor like a mad man. Update: this costume is trash! We are two wears in and I have now had to sew 4 rips along seam. I bought a size up so my son has plenty of room to move but this thing keeps ripping. I’m going to try to return it. We’ll see if their customer service is any better. ... show more

I got size Small for my 7 year old who is 48” and 47 lbs. I got a size medium for my 9 year old who is 53” and 57lbs. The costume fit right on point . It is hard to put on as it has one entry point. (they need help with it - not sure how they will wear this to school and take it off.... ) They also love the swords most of all. My son age 5 loves this costume. I hate it. It's next to impossible to put on. He wanted it for the weapons of course but the sword was broken when it arrived. Overall this is a great little costume. Lots of cool accessories and overall good quality. BUT my complaint is there is no way for a child to go to the bathroom. My kindergartner wanted to wear this to school but there is no way he can independently get this costume off by himself without wripping a hole in it. I'll have to cut a little hole out for him but I wouldn't want home to go to school like that all day. It's a body suit. So just be warned. Great value costume. The Size M fits my 7 year old but is on the small side. He usually wears a size small or medium so if anything I would order a size up. And on point for 2020, it even comes with a mask!

My 5 year old loves this costume. Fit well and we cut off the extra string at the bottom so it was easier to put on. I love that it is tapered at the bottom so kids with shuttered legs don’t trip over the leg without having to sew.
