So far, so good. The packaging was appropriate for the size of these lights. The lights have some bulk to them and feel well made. Of course, only time will tell if these hold up or not. It's been really dry around here and I haven't washed the vehicle yet. I may tighten the allen bolts on the front of the lights as others have suggested and I may add a bead of silicone to the front seals as well. The lights came with: mounting brackets, necessary mounting hardware, and short-ish wire leads protruding from the lights. The wire seems well supported where it enters the light. Again, time will tell if this is adequate at keeping water out. I'll probably add some silicone there was well. One thing to note: the lights are not side specific (there is no right/left orientation). This is fine, although I almost installed the first one "upside down" and with the wiring facing up. I presume this would have increased the likelihood of water penetration at that point of the light. I installed these on the back of my 3rd generation 4Runner to give me the option of throwing light out the back for setting up camp in the dark. I did not want them wired to the back up lights so I ran wire from the battery, through the firewall, and down the interior of the vehicle before diving the wire back under the vehicle in the cargo area (where the wiring for the tow package came out). It was a little labor intensive running wire that far but the wiring of the lights themselves was basic and relatively easy. This way I can turn on the rear lights independent of which gear my vehicle is in. I can also turn the lights on even when the vehicle is off. I purchased a 20-amp rated Daystar switch for the dash and wired the lights directly through the switch, without a relay. I did put an inline fuse in between the battery and the switch however. These draw such a small amount of current (amperage) that a relay wasn't necessary. I estimate these are drawing less than 3 amps--the switch can handle that fine. Some might argue otherwise, but it's working great. These work fantastic for giving me light out the back. They would also work well as extra back up lights or for hooking up to a trailer in the dark. My only regret thus far is that I didn't install them far enough back under my vehicle to protect them from rubbing on rough terrain. I crossed a dry creek bed and dragged the driver's side light on the ground once already. Bent the mounting bracket a bit, and scratched the aluminum light housing a little, but it still works great. I just bent the bracket back into place and continued on. The brackets that come with these lights are fine and give plenty of room for angling the lights as desired. Unfortunately for how I wanted to install them, the brackets would not work. I made home-made ones from some Simpson construction ties. These are commonly used to hold the frames of houses together and are readily available for cheap at most home hardware stores. I cut them to the length I wanted and bent them to a right angle with my hammer and a solid work bench as a support. It might also be a good idea to paint them to protect from effects of corrosion. I drilled two small holes in my trailer hitch supports (3/16 I believe). Hopefully the picture shows the setup well enough. Add some zip-ties and wire protection and, voila, done! ... show more

This was the simplest install ever. Great price point and this thing is solid. Great tow and recovery points and the shackles come with it. The lights are super bright to back down the trail or in a dark area. Or just for area awareness

    • Awesome little powerhouse .. 10.11 watts consumption (813ma.) from 12 volt battery.
Amazing amount of light for such a tiny envelope. Fit and finish is excellent. The small size makes it a small target for falling tree branches in remote locations .. lots of Douglas Fir here. Conductors appear to be silicon .. high quality. I would have gladly given 5 stars except .. as is all too common with these lighting products, the actual wattage is never as advertised. Now I'm not complaining about this as their light output suits my needs just fine, but just a heads up if you absolutely gotta have 18 watts. A 22k count meter shows the current to be 0.813 amps .. calculates out to 10.11 watts, from a battery. I realize that these are marketed for mobile applications where you may expect higher input voltages from the charging system .. higher voltage in means higher wattage .. mathematically. I don't expect water incursion to be a problem, as I'm not mounting them on a swamp buggy .. lens facing down at 30 to 60 degrees from aerial locations. Ordering an 8-pack today. These doors are great. Installed in no time, fit my 2021 Gladiator perfectly. My only concern is I can’t seem to get the mirrors adjusted to where I can see anything, maybe something I’m doing wrong…. But other than that, so far they are perfect!

    • Great little lights
I bought these with another purpose in mind. I ended up using them on some heavy equipment rather than my original purpose. On the dozer (24vdc), we mounted 2 of the 4 I bought up high on the rops to light up the back of the blade and supplement the front lights, and mounted 1 on the rear so we could see behind for backing. They exceed my expectations in this application. The 4th one was mounted on the boom of our excavator and also exceeds expectations. I think these are very hard to beat for the price; they're VERY bright, and have a wide angle flood of light. Since they're being used in very difficult situations due to vibration etc., I'll update should there be any issues in the future. I'd buy them again without thinking about it; in fact, I'm thinking about buying more even now. ... show more

This is ridiculous. The ad has been swapped from something else and none of the reviews match the item being sold now - a rear bumper. I ordered this bumper expecting it to fit and wrap around nicely like in the picture - but it's not even close. It leaves a huge portion of the tub of the jeep exposed - meaning when I drop off a rock - the tub will take a hit, which is the whole point of armoring this in the first place. It doesn't even look right. It's like seeing a guy wearing capris or something - it doesn't fit because it's too small - and is a prime example of an item not being as described. It's at least a foot less wide than it needs to be. I'm sending it back. ... show more

The only complaint is mine came with no directions. It’s a bumper, wasn’t that hard to figure out. Laid out bolts and bracket. Took about an hour to remove old and install new. Tapped into reverse light on taillight for the leds. Very nice textured finish. You’ll need to relocate the license plate and need tag light for the plate. ... show more
