I am super happy with this bumper! It went on easy, and it is a great look. Wiring lights was easy and it just works well. One thing to note... most receivers for the hitch are about 1-2 inches longer than this one is! ENSURE you get a hitch that has the hole for the pin close in or the trailer weight will be too much because of the arm induced. This is NOT a negative, just something to pay attention to. The stock bumper receiver is mounted better than this one meaning that they use more metal fore/aft... with that said, keep the hitch in close, and it works great! (I pull a small utility trailer and a pop-up camper with it). The lights are bright! I really like that when hooking up at night! I did not wire them up with my reverse lights as they are too bright for anyone behind you. I have a separate switch for that purpose. ... show more

I’m not giving it a 5 star because the packaging needs to be fixed. The supplier needs to either add sturdy cardboard or foam to the corners of the bumper to prevent damage. Not sure if the damage occurred at the warehouse or during delivery, but it looked like the box was dragged across the ground and the corners lost the powder coat. The fit was fine, we just had to take our time during installation. Lights work great, very brought. Overall I would have given it a 5 if not for the damage during shipment. Both front and rear bumpers function well and are super easy to install ! Well manufactured, they're solid steel and coated with a very durable finish ! They don't scratch easily like just a powder coat finish ! The lights are "SUPER" bright ! Initially we wired the rear bumper lights to the fog lights, but they are so bright that we had to rewire them to the reverse lights only ! People would pull up beside us and say "Your lights are on" ! Trust me, don't wire these up to be on while driving !!!! Lol...They blind people behind you ! ... show more

This is a great looking bumper, but there were a couple of issues installing: 1) The line up of the holes was extremely tight on one side. I finally got enough bolts sticking through that I could I was able to slowly force the bumper in place by tightening the bolts. It will be hell to remove. Had this not worked, I would have had to drill out 4 holes to allow the bumper to slide on. 2) The instructions for wiring were very sketchy. I reused the existing wiring harness. The instructions show that you hook black to existing black and red to existing red, however, there were no red wires on the existing jeep harness, only a black and a white with a stripe on each side. I just hooked the black to existing black and the red to the existing white wires and the lights worked fine. The instructions should be corrected to clarify this issue. 3) The instructions tell you that if you are installing a winch, you will need to remove the frame cover. Unlike what the instructions lead you to believe, the frame cover must be removed and cannot be left in place. The bumper will not fit if the cover is left in place. The two plastic pins holding it in place can easily be removed with a 1/4" drill bit. 4) As others have noted in the reviews, one end of the bumper had poked through the packaging and was exposed so that it could have been damaged, fortunately, mine had no damage. Nilight should correct this with more reliable protection. Despite these issues, this was good deal and I highly recommend this to any Jeep owner that wants a competitively priced bumper. ... show more

Got my bumper in today, a day earlier than I was suppose too. Opened the box and it looked great, but something was missing? Oh the tire carrier!! I was shipped everything, but the tire carrier and the gate arm. Can’t get a hold of anyone to talk about this, so guess I’ll just get my money back and buy a brand name one I can rely on. Update One year later: After receiving my tire carrier I had no problem putting it on. The problems I did have with it was: 1) tire carrier would never latch, unless the padding was taking off. Even then it would never line up. After several attempts at removing, and putting back on. I thought I could deal with it. You literally had to SLAM it in order to get it to latch. If not, it would swing right open while driving. 2) The bearings would never go on just right. So with every removal and replace, I would try to get this right. Again, got it the best I could. While driving today, I noticed my spare was not in my rear view mirror, it was in the passenger side mirror. I initially thought I did not slam it with the strength of Thor, that it didn’t latch. I pulled off the road and tried to shut it. That’s when I heard the bearings just grinding, and I could not get it to go past the point in the pictures. I drove back home, with the gate open as seen. Once I arrived home, I removed the housing and it just fell apart like a cartoon. I was lucky enough that the entire thing did not fall on me when they did. I’ve had nothing but bad luck, and a bad feeling about this bumper since DAY ONE. I realized it’s cheap for a reason folks. So my advice, save your money, save some more money, and just go with the name brand. You pay for what you get, so if you’re thinking about buying this, just don’t. ... show more
