Description

The Nike Romaleos 2 is a lightweight, flexible powerlifting shoe that can withstand the unique punishment that weightlifters put on their footwear. Synthetic upper with integrated lacing and two large hook-and-loop closures to keep the foot locked in place. Elastic added to the top of the shoe flexes with the tendons of the foot during the movement of lifting. Contoured TPU heel wedge cups the heel for a secure fit. Each pair comes with two insoles: stiff for competition and softer for training. The flat rubber outsole is specially designed to minimize wear in the heel.

First of all, I should point out that the item description is wrong. The boots are as pictured and come in women's sizes. About the boot: I have post-traumatic arthrosis in one ankle and usually dread winter because wearing boots is so uncomfortable. These Nike booties are a game-changer! They’re by far the most comfortable pair I’ve ever owned. Initially, they felt a bit too snug when I first put them on, but after a couple of hours of wear, they molded to my feet perfectly and now fit like a glove. I was a little concerned over a few reviews about damaged leather, mismatched sizes, lack of Nike box, etc. Mine were pristine and perfectly packaged. I was also concerned because I am between an 8.5 and 9 and Nike tends to fit a little small/narrow on my slightly (but not technically) wide forefoot and high instep. Only 8.5 was in stock in the black that I wanted so I decided to give it a try. They fit like a glove. The insole is a cushy memory foam that is heavenly and will likely mold to my foot. It's a "huggy" fit across the top of my foot but I can tell the leather will break in. (And yes, it is definitely leather, nice leather.) They look so sharp. I could get away with wearing these with pantsuits on airport days and to slip on at work so I can get a walk in over lunch. Adore these shoes. ... show more

Comfortable and easy to get on/off. Very pleased with the purchase. Note the title is misleading - these are womens Nike Thea boots in womens sizes. I actually sized up and was glad I did. These are my favorite sneakers ever. I bought them 7 years ago, so they got pretty beat up over the years. But, where am I gonna get another pair? Imagine my surprise to see them selling all these years later on Amazon. These are one of those pairs you know you can walk in forever, and they will never hurt your feet. I sized up slightly, from my normal 7 to 7.5. Which is what I usually do with Nike’s. Soft inner sole, sharp looking shoe. I wish the opening was a bit wider but that’s my only complaint. Might cause some ankle discomfort before getting used to them.

Prior to unboxing the Nike box was damaged and when unboxed the shoes were not new. There were signs of wear including: scuff marks, dirt and stains on the bottom of both soles, the left shoe heel had visible damage, the left shoe top of the foot area also inconsistent with the right. I cannot understand why these would pass any kind of quality check and at the price point I would expect excellence. The fit is light which I like but extremely narrow making the shoe uncomfortable, so aside from all of the other visible defects, I am not sure another half size up would do much for the width.
