Product information: On the top of the tongue there is an inscription of one of the gnarled serpentines of the path leading down to the canyon. The insoles feature some of the South Kaibab's most memorable path markings and the ubiquitous mules. Look out for top graphics reminiscent of the spiny plants of the desert. The purple splashes of colour speak of the super bright cacti along the way. The waterproof Gore-Tex upper and 3D print toe cap keep water away, keeping your feet dry. The ReactX foam midsole and the Air Zoom element in the forefoot area provide light energy return. The Nike Trail ATC outsole is made from an all-terrain blend that is great even in wet weather. The durable, high ankle cuff prevents dirt and debris from entering the shoe. What's new? The all-new ReactX foam midsole is 13% more responsive than previous React technology. Designed with performance and environmental protection in mind, ReactX foam is designed to reduce its carbon footprint by at least 43% in a pair of midsoles as less energy is used in the manufacturing process compared to the previous React foam. The carbon footprint of ReactX is based on one of PRé Sustainability B.V. and Intertek China reviewed cradle to gate rating. Other midsole components such as airbags, plates or other foam formulations have not been considered.

I am never disappointed in the Pegasus model of Nike shoes. As an avid outdoorsman and occasional trail runner/jogger/hiker these shoes always come in clutch. I bought these after my puppy ate my Pegasus Trail 3 Goretex shoes and I will say I love these so much more. I got used to the extra heel on the PT3’s but these shoes feel better without it. At first I had to get used to not having the extra support but jeez it was easy with how much more comfy and bouncy these are. They remind me more of the Pegasus Track shoes I had which made me feel like I was walking on a cloud. They also fixed the pull tab/loop on the back of the shoes, I refused to use the ones on my PT3s because it felt like they would rip off, but these come on the back of the heel and the front of the tongue for easily throwing on your already tied shoes in a hurry. The only thing I don’t care for is the safety markers/reflector spots on the heel that light up in the dark but I totally understand why they’re there and it’s not a big deal, my Pegasus track shoes had way more along the laces and they didn’t bother me either, actually they looked really cool under neon lights. Again, not a big deal, just something to consider if you’re in the woods or out at night and DON’T want to be seen from a mile away. 😂 I’m always worried about paying full price for Nike’s as you see how much it takes to make them, but everytime I doubt them I get a new pair of shoes and get over it considering they’ll last me at least a year to two years with heavy everyday use. Also shoutout to goretex, great for running through wet grass and small puddles, but def don’t use them to close in a kitchen environment. They can take the beating and clean up nice afterwards, but the first time you squeegee some water into the side of the shoe you’re gonna be surprised and upset at yourself. 😂 10/10 would def recommend great quality and value for the money and way more lightweight than past models. ... show more

Comfortable on paved and dirt roads with good grip without being cleats. Some absorption from heel strikes. Water resistant almost to a fault, water can fairly easily slip by the lip of the shoe at the ankle if directly exposed to water. Thats unavoidable and expected of a sneaker design so I cant fault this shoe for that. Very poor ventilation just like a classic yellow raincoat; This is not really an issue when it gets below 45° in my opinion. The top of the heel also has a nice soft buffer, almost like bushings, that prevent rubbing on the achilles tendon and seem to be for deflecting water. ... show more

They’ve been phenomenal since breaking in. Extremely tight before but it didn’t take long to wear in. Really enjoying the grip and waterproofing, they’ve been a life saver.

These shoes will not fit unless you have a completely flat foot. I put them on, walked down my driveway to my car, and immediately walked back in the house to take them off. It feels like theres a wire on the top of your foot pusing down on it

I am not sure what the negative reviews are about as these are super comfortable (I did swap out the OEM insoles with a pair of memory foam insoles -which raised the bar on comfort). The sole feels stable, the grip is good and the toe box is wide enough where my toes have room. Waterproofing is great and the gore tex lining is not hot at all. The only thing I don't like about the shoe is the weird gaiter built onto the collar - its function is to help keep debris and water from entering the ankle area....but Nike may want to re-engineer that, as it's way too flimsy and needs a bit more structure. I always have straighten the gaiter when putting on the shoe otherwise its ends up partially tucked and partially out. Other than that, I highly recommend this hybrid sneaker for walking, hiking or minor trail running. ... show more

These shoes are absolutely wonderful!! I got these for my boyfriend as a surprise gift because he had the same pair that he works in maintenance and needs waterproof shoes as a must!!! he says that they are extremely comfortable and he is on his feet for 10 hours a day… highly recommend these they’re super comfortable, very easy to clean, very easy to wash in the washing machine, and they look great on him!! I’m just now writing a review six months later after purchasing them and they are still looking brand new! And he works in them every single day!! ... show more
