Woman here, I regularly buys men's shoes. I have wide feet and I'm hard on my shoes. For any physical activity, I try to get men's shoes because I find them to be more rugged, durable and a better fit than women's. I had an old pair of Nike's very similar to this pair. I had them for years and they continued to be comfortable even when the sole started breaking down. I'm so happy I tried these. They fit the same and have the same level of comfort as my old Nike's. I usually wear size 7-7.5 in men's but went with 8. I always wear socks with closed shoes and didn't want these to feel too tight. They fit perfectly. Great shoe.
