I'm over 65 and my preferred shoe for general, everyday applications has been the tennis shoe for at least 55 of my 65+ years. Over the years, I’ve gravitated away from Reebok and began leaning toward Sketchers and Nike. I had a good deal of success with Sketchers but for some reason, I felt the Sketchers began to use materials of lesser quality. I then considered Nike because I read that they were actively developing synthetics as an alternative to animal hides. I’ve been buying Nike brand shoes for the last 5 years and I’ve tried some of their ‘discount, economy’ models as well as some of their more expensive versions. I’ve been a proponent for the humane treatment of animals and the replacement of animal hide products with synthetics for at least the last 30 years. I’ve also been making a strong effort to avoid buying shoes, (such as hiking shoes, work-shoes, boots, etc.) that are not made with Kangaroo, Snake, Alligator (or any off the crocodilians), for the last 15 to 20 years. The Nike Air Max Ap shoe still has a percentage of real leather in its materials, but a significant percentage of the shoe is made from cotton and synthetics. The Air Max AP isn’t the most expensive in their line, but it isn’t cheap either. I wear a men’s size 10.5 so I bought size 10.5 and when they got here, they fit perfectly. As soon as I put the first shoe on, I knew this was a comfortable shoe. The instep support, width, length, and overall feel delivered a more comfortable sensation than any other shoe I had ever worn before! I can’t comment on durability because I just got them, but I strongly recommend this shoe to those who do a lot of walking and/or stay on their feet all day. It’s definitely a great general-purpose shoe and may be great for active sports as well. 5-Stars! FYI: Nike has moved forward in their manufacturing process by using a highly developed and advanced synthetic leather. Since 2017, when Nike partnered with “Eleather”, they’ve developed and evolved the quality of a synthetic leather now called “Nike Flyleather”. Nike Flyleather is a performance material that looks, feels and smells like leather, and is made with at least 50% recycled leather fiber, combined with synthetic materials. The manufacturing of Nike Flyleather has a lower impact on climate change compared to traditional leather because it uses an innovative water processing technique. I hope that Nike will soon cease using animal hides and eventually make their shoes of 100% synthetic and plant materials. It’s time that we all stop the unnecessary exploitation of this planet’s life for uses that can be easily substituted with today’s equally durable synthetics. RP

Bought these for my daughter to run track in for school. She loves them! I had to get her 1/2 size bigger than her other Nike shoes, so I guess these do run about 1/2 size small. These shoes look amazing, seem well made and the cushioning on these shoes is really good.

The shoe is very stiff. Just holding the shoe, it is hard to bend. Once it is on, the shoe is slightly shorter than expected and narrow too. While walking, the sole is very comfortable and seems to provide proper arch support. This is the reason I kept them. The sides of the shoe are also stiff. I am hoping they will relax a bit.

I am a perfect size 10 in Nike running shoes. This time I wanted to try a more rigid Nike shoe. As long as I keep my toenails trimmed they fit, albeit a little snug.
