I enjoy sewing custom pillowcases for my round bolster pillow, and I've found that infant muslin bedding is some of the softest and most breathable fabric available. Since bolster pillows tend to collect hair and skin oils over time, I wanted removable covers that I could wash frequently, and these worked out beautifully. The elastic edges are useful as they keep the sheet fitted around the mattress instead of sliding around easily. It was easy to change the bedding and the size fit our bassinet well. I also love that they are simple to wash and care for as part of daily infant routine. But I discovered the softness changes a little when washed often. They still feel nice but I believe they could be a little more durable for regular wear. Alternatively, the fit might also rely on the specific size of the bassinet mattress therefore it’s worth verifying measures before buying.

These are gorgeous quality bassinet sheets, the best! There are two styles for specific bassinet mattress shapes/sizes, I got the oval one. There are some stretchy bassinet sheets that are more universal, they'll fit rectangular or oval bassinet mattresses of slightly varying sizes. These have elastic around the edges of course, but the fabric itself is not stretchy. It's a high quality double layered 100% cotton muslin gauze with that attractive crinkle. The big benefit of this type of fabric is that it's highly breathable because it's a loose weave. They are soft but not as super soft as "bamboo" rayon or viscose sheets. The breathability rather than maximum softness is why people choose these. The texture also gives them a beautiful look. The set of three sheets are a perfect amount to always have a fresh sheet handy, and they do wash very well in cold water in the washing machine. the colors are very attractive! These are truly premium sheets that would be an ideal baby shower or registry item--but only if the gift giver knows for sure what bassinet mattress shape/size they're buying for.
