Assembly: The instructions are poorly written and only included two vague illustrations. When following the directions exactly, I was left with two extra wooden pegs that I realized were meant to help anchor the top center slat in place. The directions did not mention adding pegs to that slat anywhere. The instructions call for two people for assembly; I didn't have anyone available to help me and managed to put it together myself without a problem. It was a bit more effort, but doable. Storage Capacity: It holds a lot of jewelry and has space for things like perfume bottles. The plastic cups are good for holding things like hair clips, brooches, etc. The majority of space is designated to earrings (72 pairs) and rings (91). The amount of space for necklaces is ok (24 hooks, but necklaces have to be hung over multiple hooks to accommodate length). There isn't much room for bracelets unless you store them in the cups or drawers. Usability: I was hoping because it's a tall cabinet, it would have allowed room for longer necklaces. It does not. Even hanging the necklaces across two hooks as shown in the display photos, the longest necklace it holds without it hanging low enough to catch on the hooks below is about 16" with a pendant or 18" without. If you like long chains or statement necklaces, they'll hit the hooks below. I also had an issue with some larger pendants knocking into the shelves when closing the unit. Edit for Clarity: There is a pouch below each set of necklace hooks to help avoid the issue of necklaces catching on the lower hooks or getting in the way of the door closing. This is a poor way to store necklaces. If you have pendant necklaces, you can no longer see the pendant to know which necklace you're choosing and have to pull each one out of the pouch (or I suppose you could write very tiny labels above the hooks). Also, long necklaces get jostled in the pouch when removing other necklaces, causing them to get tangled. It's just not a good solution to accommodate long necklaces. Sturdiness: The locking mechanism holds even when jostled. It's sound enough to keep your kids or guests out of your jewelry. The tilt is adjustable by a few degrees, though the cheap wooden pegs that hold it are flimsy and sit loosely in the adjustment holes. Overall Impression: I think it's worth the money if it's on sale. I don't quite think it's worth full price. It should be easy enough to modify (move the top row of necklace hooks up higher, reposition a shelf, etc) to make it fit my needs. I just wish I didn't have to. ... show more

This is really cute! Easy assembly once we figured out screw "J" was if you wanted to secure to a wall for extra stability. Directions are a bit weird on pictured diagram on where "J" goes but if you flip a couple pages in instruction book it tells you, so mystery solved lol! Came packaged SUPER secure! No way it was gonna break during transit. And delivery was extremely fast. Next day and LESS than 24 hours even. ONLY true complaint (and I knew before purchasing) is the ginormous amount of ring storage. I used like 5 of the 90 spaces lol. So it has a bit of wasted space, but I'm gonna shove some more earrings there. I notice a lot of these have extra ring storage so it's not just this company. I would suggest this item to friends though. It's nice ... show more

I bought this to neatly store my jewelry and i am happy with the purchase. It is very nice. Adequate storage inside for necklaces, rings, earrings watches, glasses, bracelets. I have stored a lot and still have a lot more space left. So that alone is a hard sell! It has a mirror inside and lights. Very fancy! The only complaint is the magnet and the sturdiness. The door magnet is sooooooo strong, which is good and bad depending on how you look at it. Great to keep nosey kids out but a pain when i need to open it myself. I have to hold the organizer when i am opening it so it doesn't tip over. Its sturdy on its own, but because of the strength of the magnet in the door it needs support when opening it. Love my jewelry cabinet! I wish it had more space for bracelets though and that the screws on the stand were covered. The instructions say that it needs 2 people to assemble. The cabinet itself is ready to go. All you need to assemble is the stand and I was able to do it on my own and I'm a tiny woman. It has 2 compartments on the top for batteries, but you only need one. I asked the manufacturer and they said that if one stops working, you have the other. Not sure... we'll see. I really think it was a great purchase. ... show more

Love this piece! My cousin had one and I had to get one too. I really wanted to give it 5 stars, but there seems to be a design flaw. When the door is open wide (all the way) it cuts into the post....which messed up the wood. I don't know if anyone else has this issue, or just my piece.
