These curtains truly live up to their reputation as blackout curtains. I was thoroughly impressed by the high-quality material and solid construction. While the panels were not as soft or pliable as I initially expected, they fulfilled my need perfectly, especially for my west-facing bedroom windows with the hot Texas summer approaching. To enhance the softness and flexibility, I washed and dried the curtains using the Permanent-Press Cycle and wool drying balls. This process resulted in noticeably softer and more pliable panels, making them more comfortable and easier to handle. Upon close inspection, I noticed the curtain construction featured a 1/2" fold-over hem at one end and a 3" hem at the other, designed for the curtain rod pocket. Leveraging my sewing skills, I decided to invert the curtain, so the 3" hem became the bottom edge. I then sewed a 2-1/2" bias to create a new curtain rod pocket, ensuring the panels achieved the desired length of 72". Overall, if you are searching for blackout curtains, these panels are a great choice and I highly recommend them. Very impressed with the quality of these curtains! I ordered a different brand but too short. This brand had my length and width and a much thinker material than the other brand. Blackout is great! Highly recommend if you are looking to keep that sunshine out!

These curtains look beautiful in my bedroom! The fabric has a silky appearance. They are not 100% blackout, but I put a pool noodle on the top at night, which keeps out most of the light. I had to use a half inch rod so they could move easily when opening n closing them. I used Kwik Hang to place the rod onto. I hated the way the grommet kind looked, so I prefer this style much better. I haven't washed or ironed them yet, so I don't know about their durability. I wish I had bought a reddish color, but the black is better for keeping out sunlight. ... show more

These are high quality heavy cloth black out curtains. I bought several sets in White and the first thing I did was hold it up to the light and could not see my hand or the light through the curtains. You would not expect that in White. Bought another set in Dark Green. Beautiful shade of Green and completely shut out the light for daytime naps or sleeping in my bedroom. Sent this to my “Favorites” for future purchases.
