I searched for a LONG time to find the perfect curtains for our tall ceilings and big windows and finally found these! They are great quality and I love that they are wide enough that I can have 2 big panels on my big windows. I have young kids and 2 dogs that have both gotten these curtains dirty and the stains came right out in the wash. They also don't wrinkle too much so I don't have to worry about ironing or steaming them to make them look nice. I wouldn't say they are full blackout curtains since they are white but they definitely darken the room when they are pulled. I have bought NICETOWN curtains on 3 separate occasions and have never been disappointed with the quality and price!

Nicetown's blackout curtains do a fantastic job blocking out all the sunlight that spills through the blinds. But their description also says, " efficiently prevents cold or heat transfer from outside". Not So Much. First off, once sunlight has gone through a window and heated something... that heat is in that room - period. Hot air rises and curtains don't block that. On the other hand, the curtains do prevent sunlight from landing right on you. And, when you sit next to a window you don't feel like a rotisserie chicken under a heat lamp. But the room *will* heat up. Just not as quickly as it would without the curtains. So it provides MARGINAL thermal benefit against heat. It's not winter yet but I assume it would work a little better at trapping heat inside. After all, the curtains are inside. Cold air will still slide down under the curtain bottom but at least things slow down. I would recommend ordering curtains at least a 2 or 3 feet wider than the window. Folds in the curtains and needing to tweak their position to cover all the light ingress uses a surprising about of width. You need a lot of width to exploit the bend in the (Amazon Basics) curtain rods I got. They're surprisingly lightweight. The ones I got were just 54" long. Of course, floor length sizes will weigh a lot more.

I bought this for a southeast facing doorwall in south Florida. I desperately wanted to cut down the amount of light and heat coming in that doorwall, especially during our brutal summers. It works very well for cutting down both light and heat and I am sure it will work well on blocking the chill on our few cold winter nights. There is some light that comes through but then this is south Florida and when the sun shines straight in at an angle i am sure it is almost impossible to block completely. Very pleased with this curtain.

These were really good curtains, and installing them was very easy. Not only did it help with decreasing the light that comes in, and helps with privacy, it also made the room cooler. I like the color of my curtains but you may need to iron them as it could be a little wrinkly. All in all, these curtains are beautiful, sturdy, and keep light from coming in. These were a great deal and cheaper than the other curtains I saw on Amazon.
