    • Solved a strange misfire on my wife’s Yukon
Replaced the plugs on my wife’s 2011 GMC Yukon XL Denali with the 6.2L V8. It seems to have solved a really strange hesitation/surging when lightly accelerating up a hill. I didn’t know the age of the plugs having bought the vehicle less than a year ago, so new plugs was an inexpensive first step to troubleshoot the issue. Always happy with the quality of NGK plugs and this set did not disappoint. To 3 orders to get a good set. First set new of plugs was only 4 plugs, not 8. Second set was an open box set of 8 that were clearly someone’s old plugs that they replaced. The last set was new and finally had the 8 plugs it should. I would not recommend ordering spark plugs from Amazon if you are in need of restoring a vehicle to operation quickly as I have had this experience with other plug sets and sometimes the plugs are poorly packaged and arrive damaged. If you can wait it’s worth the savings vs other online vendors out the local parts store. ... show more

I have an LS swapped vehicle and the plugs that were in were AC delco 41-162 that had been severely fouled. I took a chance on these NGK plugs at the recommendation of my tuner. I have been very satisfied with the results of these plugs and would definitely buy again.

First off the shipping. My new NGKs were shipped from the Amazon warehouse and arrived on time packaged in a standard mailer protected from moisture inside a tightly sealed ziplock bag. I’m happy with the shipping. My old set of NGKs shown in the pictures have been in so long that I can’t remember when I installed them. I think it has been about four years and close to 100k miles. They performed great before they finally gave out, under rough conditions. In all but one cylinder there was oil burning condition, with two cylinders burning oil worse than the others. They gapped over .01 where the most oil fouling occurred. In the rest they gapped .02 to .03 over. Not bad considering their age and likely mileage. The one cylinder with no excess oil burn looked like it could be re-gapped and re-run. Not a recommendation. Overall they held up great over extended miles and poor conditions before finally starting to misfire causing some stalling issues, power loss and about a 2mpg loss. Quick tip. These do come pre-gapped at .035, but be sure to check the gap and re-gap them to your vehicle’s specs. Mine is .04. Update: NGK recommends that you not use anti-seize products for there spark plugs when you install them the first time. 2000 Chevy Tahoe LS 5.3 V8 4x4 434k miles. ... show more
