  • Vinyl Tiles
For less than $40.00, I was able to replace the hideous flooring in my master bath. The tiles arrived in ONE DAY (I'm a Prime member, but I didn't pay for one day shipping)! Perfect condition, even though the Fedex guy left them out in the rain. I just went through a breakup. I needed to tear some s*** up. First thing that came to mind was the disgusting carpet that the previous owner installed in my master bath. I tore up the rotting baseboard and tack strips and enjoyed an especially destructive evening listening to death metal and drinking away my sorrows. Important notes: Preparing a concrete subfloor takes a while. You have to get that baby smooooth. That means filling in all of the little holes left behind by the carpet tacks and scraping off sticky carpet glue. I honestly googled the crap out of this project, as I had no idea what I was doing. Wear a mask and goggles if you value your physical appearance or eyesight. I can't even begin to count the number of carpet tacks that bounced off my goggles upon being pried out of the concrete. Laying the floor was easy. The tiles fit together nicely and were very simple to cut. I used scissors and a sharp utility knife. The tiles seem to be sticking so far (it's been about a week). Fingers crossed. The most helpful tip I can offer is to purchase silicone caulking in a biscuit color to fill in any gaps between the tile. I had two small gaps that were driving me crazy, and the caulk blended them together seamlessly. My bathroom looks better. I'm in a better mood. ... show more

  • THRILLED with these stick-on floor tiles.
I am THRILLED with these stick-on floor tiles. (FYI no one pays me to write reviews. I have laid dozens of floors over my life - from oak parquet throughout our townhouse in the 1990s to doing an entire master bath and shower in ceramic and stone, so an a DIYer, I know a wee bit about it). We've been slowly rehabbing a modest 1949 house I inherited- and after removing the broken pink pinwheel tile from the floor of the bath months ago and sealing the floor beneath with a quality black floor paint, I'd been waiting to lay a quality ceramic or stone. But after living with it uncovered for months and with the holidays and family coming from afar just around the corner, I had a change of heart, decided on a "linoleum" look, and went with this. It's beautiful. The pattern is lovely and a great choice for "neutral". I ordered 3 boxes. All arrived in excellent condition - nothing broken - everything cut well and square - the backing paper came off in one piece -and I didn't need to use the extra glue I ordered. They stick fine and cut easily, and can even be shifted a bit in the first few minutes after you press them down. Mine is a modest home. And while these tiles are inexpensive, (thus making them fit right in) they are real quality for the price. I would order them again and definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Good to use to get a tile look or if you want a new and clean flooring
I used this to cover the ugly vinyl flooring in my laundry room. It's my first time putting up any type of flooring, so I thought this would be a good practice for me. True to some reviews the glue of this tiles are not very sticky. So I also bought a "Weldwood Multi-Purpose Floor Adhesive" as a back-up, which I'm glad. I only use a very small quantity of the glue, thinking that I don't want to have a hard time peeling them out when it's time to change my flooring someday. I just stick them over our old vinyl floors. Cutting the edges and corners (near the door) is quite a challenge. I used an index or a heavier paper as a template for the corners. Tiles are easy to cut with a box cutter and scissors. I thought this is a good transitional floor until I have the money to use the real tile or until I'm brave enough to install the tile in grout combo. I am thinking of using a stick and peel tile to redo my guest bathroom as well. ... show more

  • cheap, doesn't stick
I had to order 4 more boxes of this cheap tile to replace all the ones coming up. I have put in several floors, and this is without a doubt the worst. I've spent 60.00 on adhesive to make them stick. If you are looking for a quick room change, don't buy this. It will take you days to do, paper doesn't come off the backing easy, they don't stick, and bend and crack easily. Should be selling this for a lot less!!! CHEAP!! ... show more

  • Incredible deal
First of all, if you can tile a whole room for $70 - that right there is an amazing feat. For it to look good too, well that's just awesome. I've used the self adhesive vinyl tiles before - they are an easy girlie solution in my opinion. The best advice I can give is to prep the surface. When I do a project and the directions go on and on about prepping the surface - bleh! Who has time for that? But in this case it really is crucial. The smallest crumb under these tiles can cause a huge problem. Kind of like the Princess and the Pea, you will know when you have missed a crumb . So my advice is - vacuum meticulously, then clean with some rubbing alcohol, and continually feel the area just before you put each tile down for any missed debris. I felt like the adhesive here stuck just fine, and the adhesive didn't come up and out between the seams (had this happen before, it's annoying). Listen, it isn't real marble tile.. But it looks pretty good especially on a budget. ... show more

  • The price reflects the quality
First, I should say I used this for my crawl space closet, so I didn't really care all that much what the end result would be since it's not a high traffic area and reading the other reviews, it pretty much ended up being what I expected and it serves it's function. So if you're looking for a cheap solution to flooring and you don't mind if there's some flaws- this isn't a bad choice. The bad: several pieces arrived chipped and broken. It sticks to concrete ok- just make sure you clean and dry the area really well. After a month, some pieces are peeling up off the floor. The good: really easy to apply and the color is nice. ... show more
