We actually found this a bit heavier than we anticipated, but with our low temps this winter, but we did enjoy being warm and cozy. I also have a mattress warmer on my side of the bed and instead of setting the temperature at 8 I can now set it at 3 and it kept me warm all night. I doubt that we will be using this year-round. The dogs and cat seem to approve of the new addition to our bed. Price is very reasonable, and I wouldn't hesitate buying another one for our guest room. I used to dislike comforters. Hot, heavy, always ended up on the floor at some point while sleeping. I don't know what this one is made of, but it's thick yet lightweight & it really stays COOL all nite!!
