Biggest issue with these for me is the base is not weighted. So if they're holding your boat cover up and you're tugging at the cover clipping it down these will fall over. Good luck trying to brush/shovel snow off your cover unless you supply some bungee cords to strap these things in place or come up with a way to weight them down. Second issue is they are only semi-adjustable. Each pole segment is the same size so if it's too short or too long for what you need, you can't do much about that. I suppose you could saw a segment down to get you to the right height but it would be nice if they just gave you some different length of segments for the top most segment so you can fine tune. ... show more

This poll works but I'm really not expecting it to last for very long pretty flimsy. But for $14 it'll work for now. I don't believe it'll hold up through next winter. It was cheap and it's doing the job for now so if you can spare $14 go ahead and get it.

They do job but they’re very flimsy and also extremely lightweight so the second you move the cover they fall over. I do love the curved tops but the base is less than desirable.

These are basic, cheap plastic poles to support your boat cover. They do work decently well for what they do - which is to hold your boat cover up so that the rain doesn't pool on top of it. The problem is, they just aren't very strong. The weak point is in the joints where each plastic piece slides into the piece next to it. If any pressure or weight is applied to the pole, it will bend at that connection and it's only a little bit of plastic holding it in place. Both of mine toppled over within the first couple weeks of holding up my boat cover. I have reinforced one of the poles with a piece of old rebar I had sitting around and some duct tape. Now it is pretty darn strong! The other one that also bent and broke, I taped tightly in a spiral with duct tape and it seems to be holding up OK. Just don't plan for these poles to hold up any kind of weight without you reinforcing them somehow. ... show more

Product is nicely light weight and easy to put together. Round disc on the top nicely distributes weight so cover does not tear. Thought this would be perfect, but it wasn't. Wouldn't stand up, I am assuming due to the wind. Each time we returned to the boat, it had fallen down. For some reason, just didn't work for us. That's why I rated it a "4". ... show more

These are close to useless. No straps to hold them in place and they're weak. It's almost impossible to get them to remain in place. I would not purchase these again.

I found the short leg pieces useful to get the pole to the correct height. However, the materials are light plastic, and the base is fairly small. So, when putting the cover over the support it tends to wobble and get off center a bit. Easy to adjust as long as the pole doesn't break when torqued off center. Satisfied so far after having the poles for 2 months. Buy a couple so you get good angle through the length of the run of the cover. ... show more
