Right out of the packaging, it was very soft, but like everything fabric that we purchase, I washed and dried it before using. Out of the drying it was extra soft. Nicely made. I was tired of taking off our heavy comforter every night as it's too hot to sleep with it on, so I decided to try a quilt that I wouldn't need to take off because of the lighter weight. I also wanted to brighten up the bedroom and look towards spring! I probably looked through 100 or more. I found this one and decided to give it a try. Wow! It looks great! We slept with it for the first time last night and it was wonderful and the lighter color sure sparked up our bedroom! It appears to be well-made & love the design. I wish the sides came down just a little bit further, hence the 4 stars. I will have to put my bedskirt back on but at least it's the right color! I received it early and it feels like a good quality quilt. I ordered a queen and it fits well, the only issue was the shams, they are huge so your regular pillows are too small to fill them. I’m going to buy polyfill and stuff them just for show . The quilt is pretty though and I’m happy with it.

The pictures don’t do this quilt justice. It’s beautiful! And super resistant to liquid spills! It pools instead of seeping through to the sheets. Will buy another as soon as possible. Love it! Perfect for spring and summer weather.
