However, the cable itself is thinner than expected, and the performance didn’t quite match the build quality. When used with a guitar, the tone felt somewhat lacking - not as full or clear as other cables I’ve used. If it was functionality alone, the cable would get 5 stars, but it's so lightweight and slender, I just don't know if the quality and durability matches the looks and initial performance. The cable fits tightly in both guitar and amp, and the sound is clean, crisp, and accurate. The wood connector covers look good, and the slender-ish cord is flexible and long enough. The cord covering is kind of a cheaper plastic-y material that picks up dust and lint. I think this is a perfect cord for beginners who might not want to invest in higher quality cables while they become more proficient in their playing. ... show more

    • Don't let the thickness put you off
i got this cable to use with a small portable amp and my electric acoustic, and it has been a great buy. the ends are the first thing i noticed. they fit tight, feel solid, and i do not get any crackle when moving around. this is a straight to straight 1/4 inch cable and the length is perfect for a small practice setup or throwing in a gig bag. i was a little put off when i saw how thin the cable is, but that ended up being a good thing for me. it is flexible, does not kink, and it has held up without any issues. so far it has been quiet, reliable, and it does not feel cheaply made. unless it proves me wrong down the road, i will probably be using this one for a long time. ... show more

    • Not the best design for an instrument cable
Although I really like this style of cable for headphones, I don't like it as much for a guitar cable. The wood aesthetic seems prone to chipping with regular use, especially gigs/shows. The jacket is pretty thin and doesn't feel like it would offer much protection if the cable is stepped on or gets snagged. The aesthetics are great and the sound quality are both fine, but I would want something more robust for a guitar or instrument cable. ... show more

When I first received the NewFantasia Guitar Cable w/Walnut Ends my first thought was how cheap it looked because it was so much thinner than any other guitar cable I have used. Even being thin, the more I examined it, I really liked it because it reminded me of a vintage cloth covered guitar cable. The walnut ends are a classy look that stands out against my guitar, plus it goes well with the vintage cloth cable look. Even though it is thin, the braided nylon covering seems like it does a great job of protecting the cable. Until using it, it is so light and unrestrictive compared to the normal "heavy" guitar cables I have been using. I’m giving this cable three stars, mainly because of how thin it is. While it delivers good performance, the slimness makes it feel more fragile than expected, and it seems like it could potentially kink with regular use. On the positive side, the sound quality is excellent. The 6N OCC single crystal silver-plated copper wiring provides clean, clear audio with minimal noise interference. I didn’t notice any hiss or signal loss, and it does a nice job maintaining the original sound quality across different equipment. The walnut wood connectors with gold-plated brass also look premium and fit securely. However, despite the quality materials, the overall cable diameter feels thinner than expected, which raises concerns about long-term durability—especially for stage use, or gig bag storage. Overall, this cable sounds great and looks high-end, but the thinness limits my confidence in its durability.     • Very lightweight and attractive
This is a boutique style 1/4-in guitar cable. It is very lightweight almost a little flimsy you need to be careful with it to an extent. But it's very sexy looking with the woodgrained tip. The sound is the quality you'd expect at that price point and I like it for recording on my laptop.
