Really love this case charger. 5500 MaH and will give my Galaxy S8 + a two day charge. It's a bit pricey, but it is the upgraded model that supports wireless charging. The case is not as bulky as many others. Especially the Titanium. The Titanium was longer and didn't fit in my pocket as well. I wear fairly tight jeans and it fits fairly well. I plan to go to Europe. I'll put it to the test there this summer and update this review. Update 7-19-19 took my Galaxy S8 plus to Europe on vacation . I charged the case and phone nightly. I used heavily each day and most of the time I rarely needed to push the charge button on the case. Great battery pack case. Update: 9-11-19 I spent 3 weeks in Holland and Germany. with average use it lasted me two days. It does add weight and bulk, but that is too be expected. Wow! I'm not easily blown away by a product, but this one beat all of my expectations. I was about to get a different phone because my galaxy s8 plus battery life was getting terrible, and also my charging port was going bad. I was searching primarily for a wireless charger because of my bad port, and I found this little gem. At first when I opened it, I was worried about the c-type connector that plugs into the phone when you put the case on, but I have not had any issues with the phone charging every time. Even though all of my (even brand new) charging cables have been finicky. They tended to slowly fall out but since this case fits tightly around the phone, there's no chance of that happening anymore (and the Cas itself has its own c-type connector so it's like I have a new one now). I'm finally able to have my screen brightness where I want it all day (which I couldn't even do back when the phone was new). I've been watching YouTube videos on nearly max brightness all day and my phone battery is at 90% with plenty more juice in the case's battery, and it's almost 3 in the afternoon as I type this. I used this battery case for about 6 months and it is a very heavy duty, great fitting case for the S8 + and it provides more than 1 full recharge for the device. For some reason the battery stopped recharging properly. I notified the seller and described how it was acting. Seller was very courteous and helpful. Within 4 days I had a new battery case. I purchased this charger/case for a trip to Walt Disney World. It worked beautifully! I was able to get 2-3 charges per day with the case. It's a little bulky, but nothing major. It also gets a bit warm while its charging if you're using it during the charge. I never noticed it being warm while it was in my pocket, only when I was holding the phone. I've continued use since we've been home and I haven't noticed any loss of charging ability. I will update if something drastic would happen, however as of now I love it, and would buy it again. The only downside of this product is that it does not offer any screen protection. However, if you put a stick-on glass screen protector you should be good to go! ... show more

    • Good Extended Battery, Better Value Than I Expected
I got a Galaxy S8+ about a year ago, and I ALWAYS buy a Seidio case for all my phones (not an paid endorsement). I like the rubbery feel of the Seidio cases and the rotary and quick release holsters. So recently went on a trip where I had the GPS constantly running, which drains cell phone batteries very quickly (I usually have GPS off, since I normally don't need it). Every day on my trip, I'd always have to make sure I carry my power bank, which is quite bulky and heavy, wishing I had an extended battery for my phone. When I got back, I ordered the Newdery. Why the Newdery? Mostly because it has the USB-C connector, wireless charging, and dual charging. - I actually got the first one for my wife, who is constantly charging her phone, so the connector on her phone is a little flaky at times, so as long as the phone is in the case properly, she now has a new USB-C connector to abuse. So far, she's not complaining about flaky connections. I also don't want to change all my cable out (again), since I tend to buy nicer-ish cables for all my devices and I would hate to use USB-C one day, then tomorrow... "everything is switching back to Micro-USB". Many of the batteries I looked at included Micro-USB. - I suppose I was not expecting wireless charging on extended batteries, since the Qi range is only about 2mm, and extended batteries will offset the phone's Qi coil roughly 6-10mm. Obviously, my eyes lit up when I saw this battery included it. There may be other products with integrated coils, but I didn't see any. And, it does work. - The last point is the simultaneous charging. I've used extended batteries before and usually (my experience is all of them) you have to disassemble and charge the phone and battery separately, which is a PITA. Someone wrote a review stating this product does not charge simultaneously. They must have gotten a defective one, because this is what I read in the advertisement and I have explicitly test this feature and it does charge simultaneously, which is a plus. What I don't like about this product is the wireless charging does not support fast charge, unless I have a defective one, since no other reviews have mentioned this. I have removed my phone and place it on the pad, and it does go into fast charge mode, just not with the battery. Perhaps I'm reaching but perhaps the current is split between the charging circuit and phone, so the phone is detecting low current... I don't know. However, I honestly don't wireless-charge very often anyway and I always have a charge cable handy anyway, so for me, it's not a huge deal. This is the reason why I can't give this 5 stars. Now, why is this better value than expected? The reason why I mentioned the Seidio product is because this case, as bulky as it is, is the same size as the Seidio case, just thicker. I just made a small modification to the holster with a dremel (took about 2 minutes) and it fits like they were meant to me. The finish on the Newdery case also has a similar rubbery texture as the Seidio, so the transition is quite seamless. What others have said... yes, it's more bulky, heavy, and produces heat when charging. Fingerprint reader... meh. - Bulky, yes, but it now feels more ergonomically correct in the hand, unless you have very small hands. I've found a naked S8+ very skinny and uncomfortable. The Seidio bulked it up a little but still not enough for average sized hands. So, my opinion, the extra bulk is a plus. - Heavy, yes, it is a bit heavy, but what do you expect? You're now carrying around an extra powerbank. I'm not making excuses for this product but... would you rather carry 2 separate devices, plus a charge cable or deal with the extra weight? Honestly, I'm not fused to my phone like 99% of the world's population, so my phone is either in my holster or on my desk. I actually don't notice the extra weight much, unless I'm actually using it. Why would I need an extended battery if I don't use my phone much? Well, when I go on trips, I need the extra power, not normally on a daily bases. I'll have it for my next trip. - Extra heat, yes. My wife complained about it, too. Well, there's a transfer of power. In this case, it's a fast charge so it's moving a lot of current. What do you expect? Normally, this heat is seen at the charger, or power-brick, which you never experience. The heat is normal and should be expected. Now, if it's enough heat to boil water, then I would immediately remove your phone, through the case into a metal canister and possibly call the fire department, but so far, so good. - I don't use the fingerprint reader. I'm still old school. I still do my password or lock pattern. I can't address the scanner. So overall, I like this product. I just wish the wireless charging feature was stronger, but if anyone says that I may have a defective product, please let me know so I can get an exchange. Perhaps my review will be upgraded to 5 stars, which is rare for me. ... show more

I had some problems with the Morphie and decided to try the Newderry for my wife's phone. Worked fine for her, so I ordered one for me. A few days after return expired, I tried it on mine. After charging phone to 90% of so, phone rapidly discharged - while plugged in. Newderry sent me a replacements - same problem. This was on the same setup my Morhie worked fine on.
