The taper is not even close. The narrow end is the correct diameter, the large end is 0.008" oversize. This will NOT seat in a MT2 socket. Update. Thinking I'd just rework the taper I checked the run-out of the threaded spud to the large end of the taper. TIR is 0.010". Really? How do you even do that? I gave up on it at that point. So I went off to the bay and found a NOS Jacobs arbor. ... show more

Threaded Drill Chuck Arbor 2MT to 3/8"-24 Hardened Morse Taper MT2 Adapter. This chuck arbour runs true with a good chuck. The General International DP2003 drill press i purchased frpm Amazon has a 2MT to 3JT arbour with an awesome 5/8 chuck. Trouble is a 5/8 chuck won't hold a #40 drill :~( Pulled the 3/8" chuck off a junk cordless drill with 3/8-24 mount. Press only runs clockwise so keper screw was not needed. Done! ... show more
