So, every item reviewed has the same variety. It’s either the best thing since sliced bread or it’s a waste of money. This is a review of the table’s arrival. I was fortunate enough not to receive a damaged product. When dealing with disassembled furniture, it does happen often. This table, being undamaged, is beautiful. It’s not laminated, it’s nice and heavy and the finish is great. Now for those who say it’s a nightmare to assemble. The first thing you need to do is break it all apart, organize the parts right down to the last washer and look over the directions before starting anything. After looking it over I was able to make sense of the process. At this point I know it’s not hard to assemble. The only caveat is if the pre-drilled holes are not aligned. It doesn’t look that way though. This is a very nice piece of furniture and if you get one that isn’t damaged, organize as I do, you will be very satisfied. I will update the review for the assembly. Update: Assembly. Assembly was understandable because I took the time to understand the process before doing ANYTHING. Two problems. 1: Where wood screws are required, the are no pre-drilled holes. Solution: Gently screw it in for a couple of turns. Remove the screw and look at the hole it made. Hopefully you have a drill where you can make a pilot hole at the angle the screw is supposed to go. If you don’t have a drill, you have to use the right screw driver for that screw head. You need strength but not over strength as you may strip the screw head. You can screw it in by hand but you need patience, the right size screw driver and the right amount of strength. Creating a pilot hole is best. 2: This is probably just my table but one of the main leg screws would not easily screw into the leg. I used vice grip pliers and clamped the screw head and turned slowly to get it to tighten. This is a nice piece of furniture and the above two examples are problems you come across with any of these kit furniture pieces. You get through it with patience and it’s worth it. Update, I gave this update a 4 instead of 5 because of customer service on website. product was sold by AMZ and they provided the link to request a replacement part. There is no phone number on the site, but you could put a complaint in online. I did this 3 times and was never contacted. I found the phone number and email on FB, once I emailed the store directly, they had a new box of table legs sent within 2 days. I love the set, it is real sturdy and quality of the product is good now. I give the product 5 stars. First postI could not assemble, because there is no hole in a leg to put the back stretcher. 3 legs with one hole, 1 leg with 2 holes, there should be 2 legs with 2 holes. Hoping to have vendor send me a new leg, will provide update. Too big to return and rebox. ... show more

I'm very pleased with this set. We had no problem putting it together and it's so pretty - just exactly what I wanted. Looks just like the picture. Also, they have the exact set (different name but same picture) on Wayfair for $599. This is a great price. Love it!

OMGosh! It took (4) people to put this together for over 4 HOURS! Nothing was labeled correctly. Directions are (1) piece of paper. Holes did not line up. Pre-drilled holes looked like a toddler did them. It also came with a few deep scratches on the stools and the table probably could use another coat of polyurethane in some areas as it looks like patch work. ... show more
