I bought this on a whim. I've been using the cheaper Gutterman or Maxi lock for years. I realize that gooderman has two different grades of serger thread. I've been using the cheaper grade. This thread is much more smooth and has a more even texture. In addition to better texture, I have had zero thread breakage. the price shakes out to the exact same as the aforementioned, but with better quality.     • After purchase customer service rated 5*;possibly I just got a batch that was weaker in strength.

The price was right, but I should have known better. The thread ravels & brakes constantly. I've tried different size needles. I've tried winding the thread on a bobbin to see if it would come off the bobbin differently than the cone. Not worth buying. Pay more for quality.

I bought the colors of kiwi and evergreen, they are absolutely beautiful. The true colors of both items are lighter than the website pictures, the kiwi is between beige and light green. the evergreen is a deep dusky grayish forest green, they are both neutral and muted. I only wish they could be purchased individually even I have a serger machine which requires 3 or 4 threads, they are just too many for me. The threads are soft and durable enough, sometimes i purchase Coats and Gluteman thread’s because of a wide range of colors, but I don’t like them as they both are a little stiff to me, maybe more durable ( quality) but I do prefer softer textured ( not too fuzzy) polyester threads that work better with thin fabrics, plus easier to wind up on the bobbins. I am happy with my purchase and I love the colors I got. ... show more
