This is my second time buying these 100% cotton New brothreads threads and I am In LOVE with them. Last time I got a small set of 8 basic colors and this time I purchased the 24 classic color set. They are a great mix of colors for all the things I need to do. I go through a lot of red, blue and black because I work doing piece work for a local manufacturer of magic tricks that sells globally. I make a lot of specialty bags and handkerchiefs, and I install pockets and zippers on most of them. My work has to look professional and I like to have a lot of diffrent color thread on hand to do top stitching for whatever fabric I'm working with. These cotton threads are so vivid and beautiful. They run so smooth through my machine, just like butter. I have not had any breakage or shredded threads like I have with other brands in the past. I also like that they fit on my machines spool holder perfectly. I am really loving how neat and tidy these are by using the snap spools...they look so nice when i'm storing them on my spool rack. I have yet to find any quality thread at a better price then these. I installed 12 zippers last night and top stitched around them and didn't have ANY problems at all using these threads. They just made my projects look beautiful and professional. I'm really looking forward to my continued use of these and will be looking to purchase other sets in the future.

Looks like very nice thread. I won't be using it but will be incorporated a spool will be in Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts that have a sewing theme. The recipient will be getting a sewing kit with pins, needles and sewing notions plus 1.5 yd. fabric and a Charm Square pack of 40 5" squares. I know this will be a great gift but what follows with the ministry leaders has an eternal impact.

The thread work very well for hand-piecing a block. It's somewhat thin, but stiff. So stiff that I wasn't able to wind it for a bobbin. That's why I knocked off a star. My rating is actually a 4.8 out of 5 because of the thread quality, the efficient packaging which allows for convenient storage, plus the included color chart (which provides product numbers for when you run out of a specific color), and thread nets that holds the thread in place between sewing projects.

I was looking for a variegated thread that would run on my Brother Stellaire Xe-1 for making embossed designs on high nap bath towels. This thread worked beautifully! The colors were good variety although a lighter blue would have been a good addition. I had also ordered their box of 8 spools and these colors were duplicated in the box of 16. It would also have been helpful to see the colors included. I was OK with them, but it would have been nice to know if there were several I couldn't use. I didn't experience any fraying, breaking, or jamming while sewing out the embroidery designs.
